.....I guess this belongs in the "General Discussion" thread....but since Gonzaga sends so many guys to the NBA I suspect we can talk about it here! I have only one observation to make about it at this time. That one guy on Gonzaga.....needs to get a HAIR CUT!!!

You would start a thread like this and bring hairstyle into it. I'm sure some of their players have some disgraceful jailhouse tats as well. Outrageous!
 
...so how long do you think Gonzaga will stay number 1.....what are there chances in the Big Dance, and exactly how long will that dudes hair get before he decides to cut it?
 
My contact in St. George told me he saw PKM begging for money today at the Fiesta Fun Center, trying to round up the $435 he is going to owe me once Gonzaga wins the title here in the next few weeks.

Haha .. you're looking better atm .. but the Zags always fold early. No money will change hands.
 
...well, Gonzaga still number one.....and now the number one seed out west! NOBODY is picking them to come out of the west....and I mean NOBODY! I like Gonzaga! Good team ball, some tattooless players! I'll pick them to come out of the west!
 
...watching Gonzaga right now, and your right....they ain't going far! Too many white guys with brains but not enough athletic ability to battle with the big boys! Seems like there team is a little on the small side as well?
 
I think they definitely give Stockton's kid too many minutes. I'd put Guy Edi into the game instead. He's an athlete and big, gives them a different element on the wing. They are definitely not small in the post though.

Best part of the game was knowing that the Manute Bol family legacy is ongoing. I had no idea he had a son playing college ball. And apparently he has another son named Bol Bol that's already like 6'5" and only in 7th grade:

....well, they pulled one out against the 16th seed! Stockton's kid played well, I thought! Had half of the teams assists! The long haired freaky kid bailed the team out! Still seem a little on the small side to win against the big boys! Glad they advanced, though.
 
The SLC curse. Their path for a deep run was all set up about as easily as it could have been too....... Nothing but low fruit in front of them. Major choke job. They did play 2 good defensive teams though. If Wichita State is going to shoot 50% from 3 when they normally go ~ 30% and play the consistently good defense they are known for, they are going to win a lot of games in the tourney. I'm just surprised that Gonzaga both shoot poorly and allowed the other team to shoot so well. My confidence in them stemmed from the fact that both of those things wouldn't happen in any single game because they shoot so well normally and play decent on ball defense. At least I didn't bet on them.
 
I cheer for the little guys because when they do well, it improves college basketball. When they lose early like this, it gives all the more justification for the committee to select an 18-12 team that may have finished 7th-place in a big conference over a 25-5 team from a smaller conference that may have had a great season, but was upset in their conference tournament.
