Soccer is no stranger to firearms throughout its history.

In the founding years of Turkish Republic, referees used to be active or retired soldiers who carried a firearm with them all the time and matchups were no exception. Actually they were the perfect place so no bitching player could screw with him.

Two years ago there was a story about a soccer ref stabbing a player to death during a game. The family friends of the player rushed the field, killed the ref and then quartered and decapitated him.

Fortunately my daughter decided to go no higher than U-10. So I don't have to worry about getting shot or stabbed as a volunteer ref. But she's playing basketball and participating in track (pretty decent shot-putter for her age), so I do have to worry about her soon becoming tougher than me!

Fortunately my daughter decided to go no higher than U-10. So I don't have to worry about getting shot or stabbed as a volunteer ref. But she's playing basketball and participating in track (pretty decent shot-putter for her age), so I do have to worry about her soon becoming tougher than me!

Mine also quit at U-10. Whew!!!

She did it to make even more time for competition dance, though. Those dance instructors are insane, in case you don't already know.They do not think there is any inconvenience that a dance parent should not be willing and required to put up with.
