Gotta steal one of these opening 2 games

They MUST establish footing in this series RIGHT AWAY.. Going back to Utah 0-2 is not a viable option.

Agree or disagree?

To win the series? I agree. Their best chance IMO is game 1. GSW has not faced a healthy Jazz team and they could be feeling a little full of themselves due to all the hype. Go in and take it right to them. Shock the world by winning game 1.

Don't act like you care bro.

And who tf cares? We are capable of winning 3 away. Screw the rules!

If they go down 0-2 the Warriors will absolutely take the crowd out of the game in game 3, unless somehow they're ice cold, and the team will crumble.

The whole "The series doesn't start til a hometeam loses" doesn't apply to Golden State.. It's the deathknell for this season if they go back to Utah 0-2.

We're not healthy. It's not happening.

It's only a 13 point spread... Stranger things have happened.. I can't ****ing believe the waiving of the white flag response here LOL.

Thats not what the dudes in that locker room think... or anyone in the organization for that matter..

This is very odd to me.. What curtailed the competitiveness all of a sudden? When its semantics on a message board people here argue til blue in the face... whats different about this???

It makes me question just how much some fans here have their fingers on the pulse of their team..

I am hedging my bets. I put $100 on the Jazz winning the series, but I also put $25 on the Jazz beating the spread. We will see.

This. Thank goodness for this response. At least some of us get it.

Jazz win one game in the 2nd round against a fantastic team.
Nothing wrong with that and we're trending.

I think it's GSW in 5 too. I just hope the win comes early, and then the squad proves me wrong. Or **** it, ill say it, I hope they get ****ing injured, not like maimed or permanently disfigured, just incapacitated for the series...

This just in: In a 7 game series with 3 homes games for teh Jazz, they must win 1 road game to have any chance of advancing

Says the guy who literally gave up on the team after the 1st half of game 1 against the Clippers.

I'm not scared of GS. We just beat the Clippers in a series where Griffin and Gobert played the same amount of minutes. Kerr isn't coaching and that can only help. We're going to steal Game 1 tonight.

That would be your interpretation. Look at what happened in that last series, with all the injuries..

There's an old saying I'm sure you're familiar with;

"**** happens" It probably applies to your life off this board, and it could happen, in Utah's favor in this series. That remains to be seen...

Thats in-part why I watch so many games, I've seen all sorts of incredibly unlikely **** go on, and ALL the time I see stuff that makes me say "I've never seen that before" So i'm hoping for something new.

Of all of those moments btw I'd have to say Tracy McGrady scoring 13 points in 33 seconds is the greatest of em all.

We're talking about one of the biggest playoff upsets ever if it happens. We all know, for sure, Favors is nowhere near 100% either.

It's gonna take nothing short of a legendary effort..

I think tonight is our chance to steal a game. Win tonight and it reinforces our belief in ourselves (at least the young guys) and they start doubting themselves (despite what they say to the contrary). Obviously, it's going to be difficult, but reminds me of the year (1990?) the Jazz took on the Lakers as huge underdogs and we ultimately lost, but won a couple of games and gained the respect of our opponent and the league. It was a stepping stone for that team and gave the rest of the league notice that we would be a team to be reckoned with for a few years. Let's see if Gobert and Hayward can be that good.

Honestly, I hate to sound like a homer, and while the odds aren't great, I think we match up as good or better with them then any other team. We will have to do things we didn't do in the Clippers series to have any sort of chance:

1)Consistently hit open shots--No slumps like we had in games 5 and 6
2)Stay healthy
3)Gobert must stay out of foul trouble and pwn the paint on both ends, especially the boards
4)Play unselfish for 48 minutes. We get into trouble when we hold the ball and don't run sets
5)Less reliance on Iso Joe. It won't work nearly as well against the warriors. We need to continually move and make them work on every possession
6)Quin needs to play Exum, and Exum needs to bring it. Mack would be a disaster against the Warriors

I'm happy to be watching the Jazz in May. Win or lose, I just hope they compete, and make the Warriors beat them.

Get the **** outta here. If you think this series goes 5 games, you expect us to get swept at home. I disagree. I think we'll grab one at home and that's it.

I'd throw in dictate tempo and get stops. also avoiding turnovers would be handy too.
