Hourglass Figure Night

The Thriller

Well-Known Member
Two years after the Orem Owlz scrapped their "Caucasian Heritage Night" promotion, minor league baseball in Utah is pushing the boundaries of ballpark promotions again.

The Pioneer League Ogden Raptors have announced "Hourglass Appreciation Night" with allusions to women's bodies and a promise that Salt Lake City-based Stars Talent Studio will "provide a different stunner each half-inning" of the Aug. 11 game at Lindquist Field.

"Fans will have the opportunity to pose for pictures with the lovely ladies as we showcase seriously splendid visual appeal: Utah's legendary mountains, Dodgers and Reds farmhands — and gorgeous women whose curves rival those of any stud pitching prospect!" according to a news release on the team's website.

Who wants tickets???

That's what happens when you hire Wes to publicize your events.

How is that constantly shaming women's sexuality and in particular attractive women is somehow liberating?

Women should be ashamed if they are attractive. Stupid whores

I think the biggest problem is that we don't do the same with men. ****ing patriarchy!

No what they did was perhaps juvenile but if there is something patriarchal going on here it's the reaction. This is a father's reaction.

I can only imagine how hard the job of creating ideas to get people to come to a minor league baseball game is.

People will really bitch about anything these days.
If you cannot figure out why this is inappropriate, then you are obviously part of the problem. Using women in this manner at a family event is so 2000BC to 2000AD.

Is it stupid? Yeah, absolutely. So don't go. Don't support them. This is simple.

Realistically, pretty harmless. If you have the figure they want, go and take advantage of it if you want to. If not, don't. And if you're going to complain about certain people getting benefits others don't, then you're gonna have a lot of things in this world to complain about.
