How Joe Ingles can get better: Kaatsu Training

Kaatsu training has long been used in the martial arts training to improve speed and explosiveness. I think anyone on the team that wants to get faster should use this training (cough...Joe Ingles...cough).

After the 2 minute mark this talks about Kaatsu traing improving explosiveness - twitch muscles.

Here is a football player becoming more explosive because of Kaatsu training.

The downside I assume is that this puts more pressure on the joints since your muscles get stronger but you not strengthening your tendons, but hey what do I know.

So much less than professional trainers and Joe Ingles.

Also, why are talking **** on the 3rd best player on the team that never misses games and is a core component of both this team’s style of play and culture?

I'm guessing you're ranking him higher than Rubio. I have him 4th, as Rubio was the most important offensive player for a good chunk IMO. For a while there, Rubio was looking as crucial to the offense as Gobert is to the defense.

If Utah's shooters are cold, they are absolutely ****ed without Ricky. His ability to get to the rim when our offense was staggering was a big factor in our ability to win last year.

Jingles is at best the 2nd best athlete is his family and I reckon in a year or two the twins will have him covered.

Complete garbage.

If Ingles isn't an athlete, why is he such a complete basketball player? He has the lateral quickness to be an above average defender and he can get to the rim against NBA defenders. Unathletic people can't do this.

"Slo-mo Jo" is deceiving. He's an f*ing Ninja.

Lmao.................................................................................................................IDIOT!!

It is tough to improve when you are already the GOAT, but i think Joe will improve. There is no training though... he likely needs to commandeer some infinity stones or something.

Come this fall you will all see Joey English living that dunk life.

Maybe Joe can add one of these in training camp?

Yep.
All hail DL

This is probably my favorite starting 5 since the Stock/Malone years, and maybe even more than those. I cannot wait for the season to start already!! GAAHHHHHH!!!

I can't believe the complete 180 last season brought. I was down on Favors (injuries and range) but he was a pillar in a top-3 starting 5, skeptical of Rubio, DM was a nobody, Ingles got better and will again, Crowder added/Hood removed, flexibility maintained.

I'd say thank you DM, but he's gotten so much love that the best player (Rudy) and Joe almost seem like afterthoughts.

I am telling you, this stuff easily works out and improves your twitch muscle at a high intensity. Not just that, Kaatsu research studies shows that it helps rewire your neuro-muscular connection to be faster. Football athlete commenting on the effect of using Kaatsu for him that he has noticed. "Now I just feel [an increase of] speed and power"
