I started to write a piece of fiction almost ten years ago. I was going for a sort of James Patterson-ish vibe (great writing, I know), got about 90 pages in, and got writer's block. I just didn't know where I wanted to take it. I emailed it to a handful or two of people on this site so they could read what I had and the basics revolved around someone setting off bombs. In random places. Escalating in nature and size. First a house. Eventually to a school with little kids while in session. Granted it was not a suicide bomber in my book, just a bomber.
At the time I wrote it, I simply felt that this was an inevitable conclusion we would some day reach in this country. So I'm curious if others feel the same. Will we get to the point that Boston will become commonplace? That we will start to see bombs going off somewhere once every couple weeks or months either like we did on Patriot's Day or through the use of suicide bombers.
