How Many Of You Has Realized How Phenomenal LeBron James Is?

I Admit That I Didn't Like His Announcement On ESPN Because It Was A Slap In Cleveland's Fans Faces. Choosing To Go Too Miami Was Enough. But Over The Last Two Seasons This Guy Has Been The Best Player I've Seen Since Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant Is So Offensively Gifted And Has All The Shots But He Just Doesn't Control An Entire Game Like James Is Doing And He Never Has Even With Shaq. Sometimes I Find I Am Taking Watching LeBron For Granted But I Am Enjoying This Ride Even Though I Am A Jazz Fan Threw And Threw.

...I have been on record saying that if Lebron stays healthy, he will break any and all of Michael Jordans individual records....but will not top him in NBA championships. Lebron is bigger, taller, faster, stronger, and almost as quick as Jordan was. However, Lebron will never catch Karl Malone or Jabbar for most points scored or most rebounds grabbed. Nor will he ever catch Stockton for most assists or steals. Of course they play different positions.....and Lebron is a freak of nature for sure! But that's my take on the man-child!

At LeBron's current pace he would pass Malone in 7.5 seasons in points. Which would put him at the ripe old age of 35. #3 all time in points per game average.
About 8ish season at his current pace to pass 10,000 assists. Won't ever catch Stockton. But it would put it him as the 6th player with 10k or more.

Staggering Numbers

I haven't watched him. Is he pretty good?

.....I think you better check those numbers again! I can hardly believe that Lebron could catch Karl in total points in 7.5 seasons with his current scoring pace! Karl played almost 20 years! He was piling up tons of points with the assistance of John Stockton! Lebron has scored most of his points going one on one! That will also continue. Not going to catch Malone with out getting easy baskets from a point guard like Stockton!

Malone 36,928
James 20,858

16,070

Career ppg average for LeBron 27.6.

16,070/27.6 = 582 games. 582/82 = 7.09 seasons.
16,070/24 = 8.1 seasons.
16,070/20 = 9.7 seasons

If Lebron plays 10 more years or until he is 38 and averages 20 or more he would pass Malone.

...ok sports fanz, I did some checking and here's the scoop! Lebron is NOT EVER going to catch Karl Malone in points scored!!! Here's why. Lebron is averaging 27 points a game for his career. To catch Malone he would have to continue to average that many points for the next 600 games of his NBA career. Malone averaged 25 points per game playing 1,476 games. No way Lebron averages 27 points for his next 600 games! Not going to happen, even if he stays completely healthy, which would mean he would have to stay healthier than Malone did! Granted, Lebron is one heck of a physical specimen.....but to think he is or will be physically gifted more than Karl was is ludicrous! And then there's this: As his body get's older and all that tattoo ink takes it's toll.....you can bet he will run into health issues that never plagued Karl!

......I did the same checking. Good work. But still not going to happen.

Kobe Bryant would have to average 25 points per game for the next 220 NBA games......and I doubt that's going to happen either! Kobe has a lot of mileage on that body of his, alot of driving to the basket, getting knocked down....going one on one, he get's older and the guys playing defense on him get younger! Even with Nash dishing to him.....it's just not working out for Kobe to pick up easy baskets like Malone did with Stockton as his side. Break downs in both body and shooting ability will take its toll!

Imagine Lebron on the Jazz as the Point Forward, lol, at least in NBA 2K13:

Favors - Dalembert
Kanter - Carroll - Evans
Lebron - Dunleavy - Carroll
Hayward - Burks
Calderon - Burke - Veteran

Contenders? Lebron might make a contender out of every team except the worst teams. But he would put them at least into the 8th seed and make the playoffs. He is one of a kind.

Yeah he proved that with Cavs already. By far the most valuable player in the NBA. Not even close.

LeBron will go down as a top 2 player of all time. Not sure if he'll actually pass Jordan in most people's minds, but if anyone has a chance at doing so, it's him. If he doesn't, I think most will agree only Jordan was better.
