Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV costs $55k but replacing the battery costs $60k

It is $5k less to throw the car in the trash and drive off in a new car than it is replace the battery in the existing car. I’ve seen videos of Tesla owners in sticker shock over battery replacement but the cost was never more than a new Tesla.

I've seen a few of those on the road. Not hideous, but I couldn't really vibe with it. Definitely a head-turner when you see it because it's got a unique look.

Honestly, 99% of EV models just look ugly to me. I'll buy an EV in 20 years when the technology is more affordable and they stopped making the models look lame as hell.
