They will always have an opportunity to sign big free agents. No matter how bad they are, players will listen to them.

Now, this year, no one wants to play for them. That's ok. Why not go full tank mode? Win the lottery again. Then you have Russell, Randle and another pick. Plus the cap will skyrocket and they still have cap space. THEN go get your free agents.
