I hate Locke

Not a big Locke fan, also not a Bolerhack fan AT ALL. I would die a happy man if I never had to listen to him again while watching a Jazz game. You can only bang down so many shots before it starts to ooze from your ears like blood making you want to scoop out your own eyes with a spoon and drill out your eardrums with a jackhammer.
 
I don't mind Locke. You can see that he truly loves what he does and how dedicated he is.
 
You may not like his style, but he's the hardest working and probably the most passionate of the media guys around the Jazz.
 
Hate is such a strong word.

He sucks. I think that is nicer.


I don't like to listen to him either.

Yep. I can't stand the material (interviews, analysis, etc.), but dude puts in the work.
 
I only dislike Harpring. I don't care about any of the others.
 
I love Locke when he is alone just talking. His interviews are too often too awkward....I think he spends too much effort trying to dig out an inside story, when a simple leading question would get him much further.

If the Jazz would send Locke to Journalism school, and Boler to Basketball school I wouldn't complain.
 
Locke's play by play is horrible. Especially when he gets bored of the game and goes into radio personality mode.

His radio personality mode is fine when it's not a broadcast. I like tipoff.

Interesting side note: if you listen to tipoff, I think he recently was "talked to" about his constant bashing on the fan bloggers. He's done a "360" in the last week.

Appreciate the work and dedication tho. He wakes up way early every day to Tipoff, most of us would rather just sleep those 30 mins in.
 
I get not liking his play by play and his general annoyingness, but he actually has some intelligent things to say half the time. I'd take him over the vast majority of sports media types.
 
Don't get me wrong though. He says some really really stupid stuff the other half of the time. You just take the good with the bad.

1st good post I've ever seen from you. I hate Locke as well.

Locke has bugged the hell out of me since his 1st stint here. I was happy when he left and pissed off when he was back. He's too condescending towards anybody with a different opinion than his and he relies on stats far too much. Since he was hired by the Jazz he has become nothing but a kiss *** to the franchise.
 
I rather have the people we have then the old guys the kings have.

He play by play is OK but getting better. His basketball analysis and work ethic is outstanding. I have lived in 6 NBA cities and I think we are lucky to have DL. He knows his stuff.
 
I appreciate all the content he creates. His interviews are awkward at times, but I like hearing his perspective and like his effort to get opinions on the Jazz from other national guys.

Tip off, podcasts, etc. I like having these things available. He's the play by play guy. He produces more fan oriented content than the majority of other play by play guys nationwide do for their fan bases.
 
I hate locke, but its not really his fault.....its just his voice that I hate.

I like boler and harpring.
Bolers voice is made for announcing and the two of them together goofin off entertains me
