So Durant tweeted the other day that his teammate is struggling to help his country's kids that are left to survive in the streets.

It drag me to a question in the political compass test that asked us if we value charity more than social security.

What do you guys think of Charity?

For it, but I think you have to be careful to avoid dependency/unintended consequences.

Example I have heard economist say that US food aid in some places has undercut local food markets to such an extent that the country produces less food as a result. I think we should instead of handing out food trade it for food. If someone brings in 1,000 calories of food they can get 10,000. The food that is brought in could be recirculated.
