I just translated

Claiming that he was really upset with the lockout, he told ' I already couldn't play basketball in college. Right when i was gonna start, lockout happened and it lasted 160. I was really upset but when i heard it is over i became very happy.'

" I continued workout in Chicago, lik 1-1.5 months. Later i moved to la and worked out with other nba players. It was really helpful for me to have training together with nba players."

He also mentioned it is a great chance for him to play alongside memo. ' I feel really lucky that i will play together with Memo in my rookie season. He helps me out a lot in and out of the court. Anyway we speak the same language,he is a guy played in nba long years and has a lot of experience inside this organization. In that sense , he is helping me a lot. He is very helpful with the in game tactics as well. Also he can advice me where to go and where to find house in the city'

'They have high expectations from me, and i think i will achieve great things with the team.As far as i observed in the training, we have a pretty tough team, a team hungry for success. '

About his role in the team " My expectation is being given time to play by coaches. My teammates has expectations too. So i will be like a soldier of the team. Since its my first season my teammates are helping me out. They tell me to go and play without getting nervous. My coaches tells they want me to fight and rebound. And i believe i will accomplish my duties well."

He also told its important to be drafted third, and he made a dream start to nba, but the main thing is just started. He has to fight hard and contribute to the team. And he told, he wants to be rookie allstar in his first year. To be chosen to rookie all star team and he told maybe even i can be ROY.

He also told, he had opportunity to talk to Kobe, and he got good advises from him. " He told me about the nba lifestyle. He told me just to focus on my work and just work hard. And he told me to concentrate to the game 100% and get ready for every game "

Then Enes mentioned his concentration is all about the game and told " Utah is a very calm city, a perfect place to fully concentrate. My only goal here is to represent Turkey as good as possible"

At last, he mentioned, NBA is a very different organization. 'I felt it is different in my first training, in college teams or euroleague u can be the best guy but here is the best of the best. Everyone is strong everyone is good here. It is hardcore competition.'

He told he chose to play in nba despite of his young age because he believe he can be successful earlier. And as a team , he told their first goal is to make the playoffs and he wants all support from Turkey and watch his games.

Thanks for sharing. I love his attitude and am very excited to finnaly see him get to play(hopefully).

Yikes! I'm not sure Kobe is someone you want giving advice to a young player about the "NBA lifestyle."
Jazz have Okur as a mentor and Sanders as the big-man coach. However, to truly protect Enes, KOC needs to bring Brewer back to teach him how to build pillow forts.

"they want me to fight and rebound. And i believe i will accomplish my duties well."

Who care about the honors, and awards. If he does this his rookie season will be a win.

Rookie of the year is a punishment showing that the team was so bad that they actually had to play an inexperienced rookie because they had no better players.

Very very few rookies are good enough to start on a bad team, and that's number 1 picks.

(harsh, i know, but this idea that high selection rookies should start right away is one of the things that is wrong with the nba.)

I hope he doesn't get too discouraged when his unrealistic expectations aren't met and he finds himself in the D-league or at the end of the bench.

He has 0 chance of making any rookie team, much less ROY.

Favors made 2nd team last year, and his numbers weren't spectacular.

Don't they just pick the 5 best rookies, or do they choose by position? IF by position, what other center would finish ahead of Kanter?

What is unrealistic? Making the rookie all star team in a weak draft year?

He might make it if he gets 10+ minutes just because there is no other rookies at center position. Irwing and Kemba are already a locks at guard position there is plenty of good SF and PF but name me other rookie center who will get minutes and is good enough to be named to NBA all rookie team?
