Is there any chance in hell that we beat the Spurs?

I hope not. I feel like the fire Corbin movement is finally gaining momentum outside of this website.

If we DO win, it's because the Spurs lose on purpose so that they could deal with us in the Playoffs instead of the Lakers.

If we fire him, who do we replace him with??

The only decent candidate is Brad Stevens. And lets be honest: He aint leaving Butler. I know PKM says otherwise, but I have my doubts.

McMillan has been bitched about by nearly every TrailBlazer fan for his rigid substations and his poor adaptability to in-game situations (sounds familiar?)

SVG aint coming. JVG blows.

This leaves us only with assistant coach Sidney Lowe, and 2nd right hand man Jeff Hornacek

Is destroying the (only) market of appeal of Utah (being FO stability) worth sacrificing Corbin for Hornacek? I think that is the 1000 dollar question.

Yes.

Parker is still hurt and pop is notorious for resting his guys. Especially since this game most likely has little relevance to them.

In fact I would expect the Jazz to have a good showing tonight. When things reach a breaking point this team seems to come together for a bit to place a bandaid over our titanic sized gash. Thus prolonging only the inevitable.

I'm not an expert on the global coach pool, but I'm thinking actual coaches do exist. Our options are not limited to "random guys who played in the NBA at some point".

They can pick a guy out of the stands for all I care(even if that guy isn't Jerry). The point being, Corbin isn't a good coach. There's no logical reason to continue on this same path when that has been made perfectly clear. We should treat Corbin like he is an old used band-aid. Get it over with quick and discard him.

I guess so. I am just of the opinion that getting jobs for an NBA coaching job is largely an 'elite-circle' phenomenon.

You either get successful college coaches coming up, former players taking coaching positions, or recently fired coaches getting new jobs (Adelman, D'Antoni, etc.). The exceptions exist, but aren't exactly common.

Then look for one of those! Anything EXCEPT signing a multi-year contract with whoever is left after your coaching staff quits. Holy **** can this team be any stupider...

They could re-sign Al. I would say that might be the dumbest thing they can do, and yet, I can't put it past them.

The hell if I know, man. Honestly, I am just praying that we draft Burke.

i don't know if I can palate another season of Mo Williams, Earl Watson, Paul Millsap, and Al Jefferson.

We gotta cut them off, sign a couple bench players, and make our bench the starters.

Whether we keep Ty or not, I do not care. Im much more sick of the personnel than the coaching.

What does this mean? It does not make sense to me, what is Sandy trying to say?

It means that Utah is known for long tenured coaches, and that atmosphere of stability is beneficial to the team. An unconvincing perspective since it means keeping Corbin. :p

So Sandy is saying that the State of Utah will boycott the Jazz if one of their most beloved players ever is made the head coach? I just don't get any sense in this.

Sandy's saying that front office and coaching stability is important to free agents, and that it is one of the few things that would appeal to free agents about coming to the Jazz.

Who says we have to hire a big name? There are more than just a few competent nba coaches many folks just need the chance. And given how bad Ty has been, an empty chair would be an upgrade

You put it much better than I did. But yeah, it does have that awful caveat, haha.
