Felt good watching the team last night after the hard fight, but then tonight just laid an egg while our 2 best players looked disinterested and tired after back-to-back games which we will have plenty more of that end on the road. So do you think the good times are over this year now that the schedule gets particularly daunting?

We will be fine, I hope. I think this game was a result of having a super tough (both mentally and physically) game the night before. Add that up with our 2 rotation PG's being injured equals for a poor performance overall. Our 2nd unit really suffered by not having Watson or someone who can really direct players.

No. I think the Jazz can come back after this and are still a legit playoff team in the west... But, with that said, This season is definitely over... KOC sucks! Fire Ty! Trade Jefferson, Harris, and Millsap! Blow it up!

well .. from a purely rational perspective, sure, I agree.

Watson being out killed us,thought we were pretty competitive up until the 2nd unit came in and they ripped us a new one.

I mean we went from a 4 point game to a 11 point game in a matter of 1 minute 39 seconds. That lead only grew in the 4th and finally starters back in game was already over.

having a young team there is going to be nights like this, but yeh Watson being out didn't help.

It's fatigue especially on the BIG MEN
Corbin needs to go deeper into his big man bench. He can't play Paul and Jefferson 30-35 mins a night this season and expect them to get through it.

Totally agree. Especially since the backups are, you know, #3 picks in consecutive years for Christ's sake.

The Toronto game was the beginning of the end. That was our statement game.

No big deal to me though, as this team is pretty much who I thought they were. Actually, they're better than I thought, but still not as good as people are hoping. I'm just grateful that we're competetive for the most part. If we were getting blown out consistently, then I'd be seriously concerned.

I didn't believe we were a playoff team before the season, and I see no reason to change my mind. 2 lotto picks looking pretty good after tonight.;)

This.
At best, I thought the Jazz might be around .500, perhaps a few games over. But a lot of my uptimism was bsaed on how good Ty and KOC thought Favors was going to be. They were wrong (at least in the short term); Derrick has a LONG ways to go before he'll be taking a job away from Millsap or Big Al.

Well, with our earth and solar system passing through the central plane of the Milky Way at the end of its 13,000-year half cycle, the charged photon field of the galactic plane causes a reaction with our sun that in turn places gravitational forces upon the earth, leading to increased vulcanism and seismic activity in addition to potentially disruptive solar flares. Strangely, this is occurring at the same time that the earth completes its process of precession (the wobbling of the earth around it's vertical axis by 23 degrees). Should this cause a physical pole shift to occur, it would displace a significant volume of ocean water, about a half mile high, due to the swelling of the ocean around the equator (caused by the centripetal force of the earth's rotation). This would devastate most coastlines, where 80% of our civilization concentrates. So is it the end? Well, portions of the humanity would certainly survive, but we can think of it as the end of a galactic cycle.

I think the jazz are ok.
This is a strange season.

Tonight, the Clips got the snot beaten out of them by Denver, in LA

It's just the way this season is, with so many games played in a short time.

I predicted the Jazz would finish the season at 35 - 31, 4 games over .500. Most people predicted they'd do quite a bit worse than that. Kanter is looking like he's going to be a player. Burks is showing real potential also. Hayward is up and down, but coming along also with more responsibility this year. It's Favors who's still trying to find an identity on this team, but at least his defense is maturing. He seemed a click late getting to some rebounds tonight, as did everyone else.

Jazzfanz, the place where Matt can vent and say things he can't say on tv.

Well now, who has been watching a little too much History Channel? On the other hand the good news would be that the Heat, Lakers, Clips, Knicks, Blazers, Nets etc. are toast. And Topeka, Kansas et. al. may have a team soon.

Catchall, great job describing this scenario though. Did you have to copy that from another source or spill it right out from the top of your head? Maybe we should move further inland though, just in case.

Corbin has got to get better at reacting to the opposing coaches' personnel adjustments, and do a better job keeping the players' heads where they belong.

Utah didn't get buried under a lack of effort, we got burned when we subbed our back court and they didn't. Tinsley should have stayed in as long as their starters, or just taken out for a short time. Utah also consistently was drawn into a running style which removed our advantages.

Further, Burks cannot run an offense he doesn't understand. You have to initiate the plays with Hayward or CJ, somebody who knows what they're doing.

This.
I feel our good record to this point is because of the home heavy schedule. We'll it all even out with these road games. They are basically the same team as last year.
