Iso And Two-Man Game With Hayward

Most NBA Teams Don't Run Real Sets Every Time Down And It's Usually Just Spacing To Isolate Mismatches Or Initiate A Two-Man Game Like Pick-And-Roll or Post-And-Kick. The Jazz Have Tons Of Success When Hayward Has The Ball In His Hands But Corbin Goes Away From It Way Too Much. Hayward Can Put So Much Pressure On The Defense If He Consistently Had The Rock. Yes, He Still Needs To Get Stronger Physically And With The Ball In His Hands Because He Does Get Stripped. But The More Comfortable He Gets Being That Facilitator Now Will Pay Huge Dividends In The Future When He Is Naturally Stronger With Age and Smarter With Experience In The League.

Hayward Is Our Most Gifted Player Because He Can Defend And Has The Will To Defend Multiple Positions. Millsap Will Always Be Loved Because He Displayed That Same Will When He Came Into The League As A 2nd Round Pick. But Millsap Now Gets Paid A Lot So More Should Be Expected From Him. He Still Hasn't Learned How To Play When Teams Double Him.

Al Is Just A Chump. He's Had Some Phenomenal Games But We've Seen Too Much Where He Just Turns "It" Off - Doesn't Run Back On D, Doesn't Contest, ETC.

Favors And Kanter Are Both Attractive (Pause) Prospects Capable Of Playing Off Hayward And In An NBA-Style Offense Which Is Predominantly Iso Or Two-Man Game.

It Will Be Imperative The Front Office Builds Around Hayward, Favors and Kanter Only. Burks Is Nice But Complementary. If No Real Moves Are Made In The Offseason To Commit To A Championship Caliber Squad Such As Drafting And/Or Signing A Point Guard - And MOST IMPORTANTLY - Firing Corbin's Retard ***, Jazz Nation Should Quit Showing Up To Games And Buying Merchandise. I'd Rather See The Team Fold Then Corbin Retain His Job As ARE Coach.

Been saying this for a long time now.

It is what Sloan did for 20+ years. It's what EVERYBODY who is good at ANYTHING in sports do. Sloan knew that Stockton and Malone were better than everyone else. So, he put them on one side of the court and everyone else on the other.

Pitchers in baseball do it. Find out where the batter can't hit the ball and throw it there. Football does it. Motion your best player into an area of the field where a lesser player will have to cover him. Same with golf. If you suck at putting, aim for close to the green so you can chip yourself into an easy putt. If you are great at putting, shoot for the green.

Everyone gets this except for Corbin.

I think you build around Kanter. He is the ONLY player on this team that can turn into a SUPERSTAR.

If you could have Kanter develop, Hayward be your third best player, draft/trade for your second best player and have Favors be a much, much better Tyson Chandler, then you are winning titles.

Burks is a very, very good player, but if you could parlay him into your second best player, do it.

Heck, if you could turn Favors into a James Harden type player, you do it.

It amazed me watching the Thunder a couple of weeks ago how much spacing they could get for Durrant or Westbrook when they wanted to iso. The Jazz, not so much. It seems when they want Hay to iso, he takes one step and is thwarted by a defender on either side. Chalk up another mystery for Tyrone Corbin, Head Coach.
