Jazz / Celtics / Kings trade proposal

With all of the talk on here about the issues the Jazz have and the possibility that Rondo is on the market, here's a three-team deal that I feel could address all of these issues:

https://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=888zdx5

Jazz acquire: Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Jimmer Fredette
Celtics acquire: Al Jefferson, Devin Harris
Kings acquire: CJ Miles

The Jazz will gain leadership, a pure / 3-pt shooter & good defender in Ray Allen, a great dribbler, distributor, and defender in Rajon Rondo, and another pure / 3-pt shooter and local hero in Jimmer Fredette. And the CJ Miles experiment could please end.

Big Al is having a great year and the Celtics loved him enough to draft him and did not want to part with him in the KG deal a few years back. They also get a point guard who still has wheels and might work better in a non-pick & roll offense. They're big on their young guy Avery Bradley so they'd be willing to part with Rondo.

Jimmer's not a good fit in Sac Town, but they could trade him now for a still-young yet talented wing who's got experience.

This would also allow our young bigs to develop by getting serious minutes and would allow Hayward, Millsap, Kanter, Favors, and other important young pieces to stay in town.

Jazz would have to give up more than that. At least the GSW and probably more to land Rondo.

Horrid deal for Sacto

Horrible for the Kings? How do you figure that? No matter what people think on this site, CJ is a better NBA player than Jimmer and CJ has a better future in the NBA than Jimmer does. At worse the Kings break even, if not gain a little with this deal.

I don't think we'd have to give up more than that to get Rondo. I think it's a pretty fair deal for all 3 teams.

Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Well, we'll have to agree to disagree or we can ask KOC to propose this as a Jazzfanz case study and wait for the response from both the Celts and Kings to be "haha..........haha........and haha".

I just hope Harris puts together a few more games like last night. So we dont have to include the G.S. pick in any Harris trade for Rondo. Honestly though, I do see Harris getting moved to either Portland for felton (whom is airing out dirty landry to the press) toronto for Calderon, whom I think would excel with the Jazz, plus is a better shot then Harris, or to the Celtics for Rondo (Bell, Millsap,Harris for Rondo, Allen)

But what I'd really like to see is the Jazz trade for Stephan Curry (Burks, G.S. pick ? maybe Miles?)

Rondo is the only young stud on the team. The celtis are old and will want draft picks. If we can get Rondo, Allen and Jimmer, I'm good giving up a draft pick. Also the kings will not give up on Jimmer after just over 20 games for Chucker.

The problem with your trade is that it only benefit's the Jazz. The other 2 teams laugh and hang up after half a second. If they even let you finish your offer.

Besides this is not a 3 team trade. It is 2 different trades and they are both terrible for the other team.

Does anyone else know where the Rondo trade thread went? I couldn't find it anywhere...

-11 for multiple reasons

Any trade that involves Jimmer immediately gets rejected. That would be the worst thing the Jazz could do. Could you imagine the uproar among zoob nation if the Jazz were losing and Burks was playing ahead of Jimmer? Oh man, that would be scary.

That is a wild pipe dream. The Jazz fleece Boston & Sacramento...no way they agree to that deal even though I would love it.

Celtics would only trade Rondo if they could hit a home run in players and future picks returned. Jefferson and Harris alone aren't gonna be enough for them. We Jazzfanz may see it as a fair trade, but they are way greedier...

CJ has a better FUTURE? He's in year 5 of a 5-yr decline. Each year his FG% and 3-PT FG% has gotten WORSE! I know that's an incredibly difficult feat to achieve, but - and I could be wrong - I don't think that's the kind of "success" GM's are looking for. Also, CJ is in the last year of his contract.

Yes, CJ has some value. Maybe at the high end he's worth a late first as a backup wing for a contender. Or he's a nice throw in for a team looking to clear cap space for next season. But he sure as hell ain't worth a lottery pick. No matter what Jimmer's stats may be, he still puts fans in the stands (i.e. Mormons/BYU fanatics are everywhere). You can't say that about Chucker.

Add to the fact that Jimmer is currently putting up very similar numbers to CJ already in his first season and any GM in the league will take "potential" over "known commodity". There literally isn't a GM in the league that would make that trade today.......none.

I mostly agree with GE and Bodhi (I totally agree that nobody would make that trade), but it should be mentioned that CJ is a much better defender than Jimmer. It's possible Jimmer will never be as good as CJ in this aspect. That's because Jimmer sucks at defense.

HAHAHAHAHAAHA

Lol at Jimmer.

Lol at trading away players no one wants.

Lol at not even being a 3 way deal

Lol at getting Rajan Rondo and Allen

Lol at Jimmer

Did I mention Lol at Jimmer?
