According to NBA.com they are second in differential at 14.7. Where are your numbers coming from?

Some of your stats are offensive, aren't they? Or am I misunderstanding them?

Perhaps mine came from before tonight's win was factored in?

Not allowing the other team could be offensive but I included it thinking of limiting fast breaks.

On fact let me see if I can find how the Jazz measure up in fast break points allowed.

Look at this link Joe:

Says Jazz are tied for 3rd in Opp fast break points per game at 6.5
Yeah, I think they are actually tied for second. Only San Antonio is better. It's fantastic news that the Jazz defense seems to be building off of last year's accomplishments, even without Exum. Favors and Gobert are the catalysts. I'm really impressed by Favors. He's always been physically gifted, but I felt he was a bit passive by nature. He's changed that. He plays with a lot more focus than he used to. He always seems fully engaged these days.

Gobert is a very passionate and intense guy. His attitude seems to pervade the team more and more. His value to this organization is ginormous. It goes far beyond what he does on the court.

I think Gobert has brought out the beast in Favors. Derrick said he had something to show us this season. Guess he meant his mid-range game. He may have passed up Hayward as our MVP. In fact, I'm liking Hood's game more than Gordon's. Hayward looks expendable at this point (certainly not worth $25M/per in another 2 years),

Let's take it eassy on dismissing Hayward. He is a very good player and this team needs him.

Hayward is about as expendable as a finger. With Gobert and Favors being the "thumb" and "index" respectively, I would rank Hayward as the "bird".

Hood has filled in nicely, and looks to be the true 3rd option on the team. So I guess that would make him the "ring", which makes sense because having a 3rd option that plays on the level of Hood can get a team a whole set of rings. But he has gotten more usage early because Hayward hasn't gotten it going yet (shrug).

When has Hayward ever played well in October? Or November, for that matter? He's playing through a back injury to boot. From December to April, Hayward will be invaluable to this team. The offense has already been capable with him playing mediocre. Imagine what it will look like when he gets up to speed.

When Hayward gets back to last year's form, this team is going to really look scary.

Hood is a better midrange shooter than Hayward. That is why he is able to get some buckets over Hayward right now. Hood doesnt need a lot of spacing made for him to score. He just does that slow power dribble into a spot and rises up and shoots it. He is playing great, but he also has 2 FT's in about 80 minutes.

Hayward is clearly trying to drive the ball and make stuff happen, but defenses are forming walls to the paint and he isn't getting calls. The only calls he seems to get our offensive fouls, which has been frustrating him. He is still our most versatile offensive player and most important player on that side of the ball. Have no fear, it will come. Be more scared about Burks ever looking to shoot a 3 so our team can have some spacing.

I want to give the NBA the shocker.

I don't understand why people are trying to dismiss Hayward.

It's largely the people who didn't want us to match on Hayward. Just people trying to be like "Oh, see I was right a while ago, we should have given more money to the SG who doesn't shoot 3's".

Yea, I'm much more concerned with Burks and his knee jerk allergic reaction to getting the ball behind the line.

Jazz have how many 1st this coming up in this draft? 2? 3?

Who are the best shooters in the draft? No I am not trying to sift thru those terrible draft threads.

So excited for this team. I didn't think they would look this decent without Exum. They will be pretty good this year when Hayward is into mid season form, and next year they will be awesome when Exum comes back.

Exum wasn't exactly lighting the world on fire. The Jazz clearly got better when Rudy began starting. I don't know why you wouldn't think they would still be good.

Rudy wasn't the sole factor. Exum was disrupting on the perimeter with his long reach. I also thought there would be some drop-off. Neto has been better than expected defensively.

These stats are because we played against two of the worst teams in the league. And we lost to Detroit too. While Detroit is 3-0, I don't see them as being one of the best teams but more of a middling team. So can't put too much weight on how good we are yet.

If we can keep this up against teams that are decent, then we can start talking.
