"The Utah Jazz have tendered Joe Ingles a Qualifying Offer. He will now be a restricted free agent."

Think someone offers him some crazy money? A DUI wouldn't hurt about right now, or maybe a story about him beating up a wallaby something like that.

/facepalm

I think he never even signs another teams offer. He will sign with the Jazz for around 11 per for 3 years.

I'm happy for Joe that he's going to get paid. Just had his kid and about $30 million that's a good year.

Sent from my Moto G (4) using JazzFanz mobile app

And I hope he gets paid here.

Some fool was trying to tell me that Utah needs to run away from ingles as fast as possible because he passed up a shot or two in the playoffs. I laughed till he stopped talking.

I'm going for 4/35M

This is where I am... I don't think he gets more than MLE - starts at 8.4. There isn't a ton of money out there and he's not a guy with a ton of upside.

I'd offer him a little over starting mid-level with home team raises on day one and see if that gets it done 8.7, 9.1, 9.5, 9.9 or so like 4/38

I will be thrilled to have Ingles back. If for nothing else the post game report with virtually every team in the league wondering who that YMCA hero with the athleticism of a turtle who just showed up their whole team.

Remember the game when Ingles shut down Lebron most of the game? Ha ha ha. I still have that one on my DVR. J'ingles was my favorite player in a uniform for the Jazz this year because you don't have any expectations and he far past whatever expectations existed. Besides, wouldn't you want Joe on your team? Or would you prefer Crowder pissing in your cheerios every minute? I think this only helps the Jazz retain other players.

I have no idea what he is worth on the open market, but I think he takes less to stay here. He's a hard player to value because no matter how well he played, other teams will still underappreciate him because he lacks x, y, and z. He is the antithesis of the run and gun NBA. So, even though he shot well, defended well, etc, he still can't be as attractive as the next shiny flashy athlete who has upside and was drafted high a few years ago and who made 3 of his last 4 three pointers in a playoff game or something dumb like that. Joe Ingles will be undervalued in the league and whatever other team pays him would probably regret it because he wouldn't necessarily fit into their plans. Turtle paced, super efficient, defensive minded Jazz + Joe 'Fosters', Gator Slaying, crooked eyed, slow mo YMCA = a match made in heaven. We'll see what it earns him here, but he will play in Utah which he probably wouldn't do outside of Utah.

The higher level guys will still get overpaid this summer. The mid and low level guys won't. The rest of the league still sees Ingles as a low-mid level guy.

Ingles said in an earlier interview he hoped to get a deal on July 1st.

Hayward or not, Ingles will be offered a good deal by Utah. However, if Hayward leaves, Utah may wait to make a deal official so they can keep cap space open for someone like Gallinari.

There's really no rush as he's an RFA. If a team offers him a fortune, Jazz won't match.

I think players say a lot of things to appease the public.
