When does Diante Garrett get a look? 6'3.5 w/out shoes, 6'8.5 wingspan. DLeague going 17points, 7.3assists and .625% from three in limited sample. Don't see why he can't do everything Candy Boye can if he can keep his shooting up. That was the knock on him in college but he apparently has an excellent work ethic (comes from NBA stock).

He's big enough to play the point and has a good looking shot:

Franklin, good post -- I'm intrigued. At the rate we're bringing people in, maybe we'll see him at some audition or something.

All I know is there's another Danny Green out there needing to improve a bit and waiting to be given a chance. There are a few Arizona posters here so hopefully some insight. This article is pretty well written and indicates that he could run an offense if he cuts the turnovers and improves his shooting.

Overall, the former Iowa State Cyclone showed that he had a very natural feel for the game. Garrett’s handle is above average, but his ability to use that along with his body and footwork are unique. Like Marshall, Garrett has no trouble keeping his dribble alive, but his restricted gait and light strikes of his feet on the ground enhances a shiftiness about him. His poking and prodding of defenses especially off pick-and-rolls are something to build upon, and his creativeness in earning open shots and getting them off in traffic are underrated to boot.

Turnovers turned out to be the negative result of his abilities. Garrett plays as if he’s on the playground, but against NBA-level defenses or even those in the D-League he was penalized for trying to do too much. Garrett averaged 2.9 turnovers per game in 32.6 minutes per game during eight regular season D-League contests. With the Suns he turned it over 3.9 times per 36 minutes.

On the positive side of things, Garrett was a playmaker for his teammates when he didn’t lose the ball. He was especially dangerous in the open court. Again that’s where his creativeness and ability to use herky-jerky ballhandling came in handy. Garrett averaged 7.3 assists per game in his eight Bakersfield assignments during the regular season and seven during two postseason losses. And with the Suns, his 7.5 assists per 36 minutes was above Marshall’s 7.3 per 36 and only behind Dragic’s 7.9.

Kid's a nightmare on twitter though, and uses the kinds of words that Carolina would not approve of.

Danny green is unc alumni, he had winning experience before he came in the nba. Not many Danny greens are out there, guys a cold blooded shooter.

They have to announce a SL roster soon. The League starts Sunday and you would think they would have workouts on Wednesday to at least get the newbies acclimated to the "Jazz offense and defense."

The Jazz system isn't that hard to pick up:

On offense, just throw it to the guy with the biggest contract on the left block and everyone get out of his way. So, I guess Burke will get a lot of burn at the C spot in Orlando.

On defense, don't worry about it. Just as long as you got your shot on offense, you don't have to play defense.

The DN said they are having a camp in Orlando tomorrow before cuts are made. Murph, Evans, the draft picks and Micahel Stockton were the names mentioned.

What scared me is that Burke said in an interview he was trying to get film of Mo running the Jazz offense so he could learn it. Someone should tell Trey we haven't had an offense since Deron left.
