What's new

Joe Ingles; Jazzman

Ingles won't have a jersey in the rafters or a statue outside, but he's been great for the team on the court and off, and especially in the locker room. He keeps everyone loose. Glad he's back. And I LOVE his wife (in a platonic way). So cute how she dressed up the infants. Screw Robyn and her traitor husband.

Platonic? I reckon she's a firecracker.

Not up to date on roundball but has it finally overcame footy in popularity?

My apologies my good man, from time to time the loathsome conditions of my employment compel me to venture forth from the comfort of my office and actually do some work. I'm sure you understand how degrading and beneath me this is but I will insist on buying shiny trinkets.

In the Peoples Republic of Victoria, the mouth breathing hordes still follow the false idols worshiped at the 'G', in my quiet moments of repose I often wonder about their wretched condition and worry about the safety of their immortal souls but mostly I just smoke and drink heavily while attempting to get the leg over the help. For those of us of a continental origin however the wonders of the world game, the beautiful game are very much part of the daily discourse.

Tonight in fact, 80,000 bewildered and probably heavily intoxicated New South Welshmen forked over an astonishing amount of their hard earned money to watch Arsenal FC of London, England patronise both the crowd and Sydney FC in what can only be described as a cynical cash grab from representatives of our colonial masters. Tradition is the very backbone of all properly ordered societies.

How can you not fall in love with this guy who tweets this during Haywardmania!

At the very least he needs a plaque inside one of the Beer vending areas. Maybe bring in a few potted plants into the stadium seating areas and dub it the "Joe Ingles Memorial Beer Garden." Maybe include a shrine made of empty Vegemite jars that fans have left as tribute. I'd put THAT on my bucket list to visit.

He might get a jersey in the rafters. We do not know what the future holds for Joe. If he becomes a poor man's Draymond and glues together a ragtag team that finds a way to make some noise for an extended period of time and retires a Jazz man at 36 or something. It could happen. And I would be happy with that.

Whoooaaaaaa boy... Ingles won't have just one jersey in the rafters... likely two or three. They won't just build a statue outside the arena for Joe... the actual arena will be shaped in Joe's image.

He. Da. Best.
