Old School and The Hangover
Schindler's list was totally missing teenage angst and hijinks. So John Hughes would’ve done a similarly great job with Schindler’s List.
So because he has had success in comedies he should never be given a chance at something else? OK.So John Hughes would’ve done a similarly great job with Schindler’s List.

Bruh you worship True Detective.I said that?

All but one of his movies was entirely mediocre, and nothing about his actual directing has stood out and said that he should be trusted with anything like this, something that probably should have a unique visual style. That being said, there is precedent for someone who has done nothing but mediocre comedies (OK, I actually liked Bring It On) moving up to doing superhero movies - Peyton Reed, who made the Ant Man movies. But they benefited from being comedy/superhero (like Winter Soldier was spy/superhero) as well as having the strong guidance of Kevin Feige. It doesn't appear that DC Films has good guidance. So because he has had success in comedies he should never be given a chance at something else? OK.

The Hangover is really good. Old School, tho? Here's a bit of what Roger Ebert said about it, and it's pretty accurate:Old School and The Hangover are both classic comedies
The movie has been slapped together by director Todd Phillips, who careens from scene to scene without it occurring to him that humor benefits from characterization, context and continuity.
Sure, it wasn't a critically acclaimed movie on it's repease, but neither were a lot of classic comedies. The Hangover is really good. Old School, tho? Here's a bit of what Roger Ebert said about it, and it's pretty accurate:
