KoC's coup of landing Mo and Randy and trading Harris for Marvin, then letting Miles walk, sure is lookin' good after just one game. These seemingly small moves seem to have had a huge impact. The overall balance of this team tonight was very impressive; we just dominated the boards!

I don't like to boast, but I did change my handle and have been pimping Mo for quite some time. I also said the addition of Marvin would be the single biggest factor behind the Jazz' success this season. Marvin kept the Jazz in the game in the 1st half. I know it's early, but I think the Jazz will look to extend Marvin. Maybe Marvin opts out and the Jazz draw up a new deal. Perhaps the presence of Marvin and having Hayward at SG have turned Burks into trade bait.

If the Jazz aren't going to play Burks, I could support a Jefferson + Burks for a young PG and draft pick trade.

I said that I would love to see Marvin excell here and become part of our core for ht enext several years.

Yes. Marvin is a true SF. He's a proven shooter and a very good defender. Burks is just potential at this point. Even CJ wowed us at times. Burks has played well in the summer league and in a few pre-season games. I'm very high on Alec. I think he could be a Maggette-like player. But Corbin is wasting his talent. If the rotation for this year and next is going to be Marvin-Carroll at SF and Hayward-Foye at SG, then we better get something for Burks. Otherwise, he's going to develop an attitude and probably demand a trade - and I wouldn't blame him one bit!

That trade had 37, 12, 6, & 4 tonight.

trade al for a 2nd string powerfoward and 2 picks.
and i'm on the koc is a genius bandwagon.
keeping al around might cost us millsap.

The Jazz came out and offered Sap the max that they could under the CBA. They have not done that to Big Al.
 
Is Tinsley really that more effective at bench PG than Burks? If Burks can handle the distribution of the ball I would rather see Burks develop than invest that playing time in Tinsley.
 
This thread cracks me up. It's just ONE GAME, against a Dallas team that was missing two bigs - one of which kills us constantly. Let's wait until after this weekend's games before we have a collective sexual explosion (****** is censored - WTF?????).

Why do you think he hasn't? What did Foye/Carroll do in training camp to earn minutes? Burks out played both guys in training camp. He should be playing over Foye because he has outplayed him, he has a year experience in the Jazz system and is part of Jazz future.

Only way jazz win saturday, if they leave fat l and his loser mentality at home.
Remember the playoffs? He said : oooh noos spurs are unbeatablez they are the pwnzor. Well we dont need his loser mentality.
