Less Miles, more Evans & Hayward

miles has become an atrocious player. I can't watch him throw up brick after brick when the shot clock is expiring. he might have the worst shot selection i've seen in the NBA. his game hasn't improved at all during the years. I haven't seem add another arsenal to his game and become a dynamic player. he's lazy, kinda on the dumb side, and not very athletic.

over the last couple of weeks (with the little playing time they've been getting) i've really seen evans and hayward develop more than cj has in 6 years. these guys need to be playing more. they are young, extremely energetic, and for rookies really don't make many mistakes. evans has been a beast the last 2 games yet i don't understand why corbin isn't playing him. i really think we could have won the game last night if ty played

williams
hayward
evans
millsap
jefferson

instead of watson and stupid cj in the 4th quarter

I agree. This season is lost. The Jazz don't have the guns to compete with the top-tier teams and I just don't see a trade opportunity out there for AK's expiring that would close that gap.

CJ is Deron's BFF, but he's a turrible player. 40% doesn't cut it as a SG. There are a lot of CJ "homers" who defend him on a regular basis and point out he's our 6th man and best outside threat. Yes, I agree. And that's part of the reason the Jazz suck right now.

This is a terrible situation. Mess with CJ and you probably alienate Deron even more. Don't mess with CJ and the Jazz are left with one of the weaker wings in the league playing a major role. If CJ were content to be the 8th man and get 10-15 mins/per that would be o.k.. But when his contract is up, he's going to want mid-level money.

Evans and Hayward need PT. I think both can turn out to be solid contributors off the bench. I'd like to see the Jazz get a bigger PF and then have Millsap be the 6th man. A bench of Millsap, Evans, Hayward, Bell and Watson would be o.k. Still need a backup C. And the Jazz would need to find a PF and starting SF or SG.

Miles' play off the bench has won us a lot of games, especially early in the season. Remember all those great comeback victories? That had the Jazz bench written all over it. And CJ is the only true producer off the bench.

True, his decision making is not the best, but he has definitely improved this season. He is actually very athletic but he chooses to go with his jump shot most of the time.

There has to be a reason why Evans doesn't get many minutes. We saw it with Sloan, thinking the reason was Sloan doesn't play rookies. But now Corbin isn't playing him much as well, even with all the injuries. Maybe they know something we don't. Since after all they were/are the coaches and see him day in day out. All the action we see of him is him slamming balls into hoops.

He is an exciting talent, but at the moment I don't think he is ready to play big minutes. I trust the coaching staff know better than we do.

Trouble against the warriors was that Deron couldn't defend Ellis at all. (See also Steve Nash, Derick Rose and Russel Westbrook) Ty tried to put the smaller but quicker Watson on Ellis, but Ellis didn't care. Hayward or CJ could not have gaurded Ellis either.

CJ has cost the team more games than he has won. 41% shooting...that can't be argued. That's terrible. I mean, it's better than Ronnie 'freakin Price, but it's still terrible.

Wow. Someone has to shoot the ball, CJ is the best we have atm. Can't put all of the blame on his shoulders. You guys are ridiculous.

Evans and Hayward are not the solution to this issue. LOL. G'Damn.

not putting all the blame on his shoulders but his terrible shot selection is costing us games. Haven't you noticed this the last few games? he takes the worst shots that are 15 feet out and that equals long rebounds for the opposition which translates into fast breaks. dont you see that? ARE YoU blind?

hayward is not the solution but man he is a much better jump shooter than cj. hayward hustles, he shoots great, and he's very very aggressive. cj miles really needs to go back to the DLeague

We don't need volume scorers.

Not sure if you are trolling or not, but what the hell, I will take the chance...

Fixed that for you.

I'm not a CJ homer and would love to see more AK over CJ but let's be fair here. CJ takes most of his ill advised shots with shot clock winding down. What do you want him to do with 4sec to go? Pass it up to someone else on perimeter?
In fact when plays got broken and clock is going down passing the ball up to your best outside shooter on the court is'nt worst decision.

Funny thing is. Since Miles moved to the starting lineup they have won 2 1st quarters out of 3 games. The bench is not producing a damn thing without him anchoring it. And yet it's still his fault. I don't get it. He shot better than every wing on our team last night. Better than Deron, Watson, and your boy hayward. In the 1st half he was carrying this team along with the bigs. He played 42 minutes on the 2nd half of a back to back, none of his shots in the 4th were falling (nobody else's were either) maybe they were tired. After all they don't have 2 of their players that have been getting the majority of the minutes at the wings.

I really like the current starting lineup. They are playing with more energy and have actually been close in all 3 1st quarter's and have won 2 of them. But right now they have nobody on the bench.

AK was playing his heart out in his last game before he twisted his ankle, and same for Bell in the Denver game. I don't get the hate on this board.

Trout, please get on CJ's facebook again and talk trash to his family. After that, he started shooting the ball well. That is all.

I tried, but he's got me firmly deleted. On the flipside, I've been going to town on D-Won't.

What hate? Their 30+ year old injury prone players. They bring little energy at the start of games and inserting Miles and Hayward in the starting lineup immediately changed that. They are also good players that can give the bench experience and some scoring.

I don't see most of the games, but based on the ones I get on national TV, players like Bell and AK can play hard and well, and it is not appreciated at all on this board. I was not talking about just you Greg, but the board in general. This was just an example.
