What a bad team.

I don't know what's worse, watching them try and play together (two dunking guards and one weak jumpshooting PF) or watching Carlos Arroyo play point for them. I truly hope for them that Carlos is playing because of injury. IMO Gaines > Arroyo.

Celtics meanwhile are playing typical ugly (winning) basketball. Tough defense and grind it out offense. Shaq looks pretty decent to me.

Is there any player in the league more valuable to a team than Rondo? Seriously, he initiates everything for them.

I honestly hate the Heat more than the Lakers right now. They are going to get a ton of ******** calls having Wade and LeBron on the same team. Refs are gonna be sucking them off 24/7.

I am certain of two things this season. Miami will not get to the Finals, perhaps even the ECF and OKC will not finish the season with a better record than us. Miami and OKC are the two most overrated teams in recent memory.

All these ESPN loving clowns at the playground kept saying Heat all summer and I was like nope, Celtics will beat them. Now it's only one game but I don't believe anything will change. Sure the Heat shot poorly but the Celtics had a ton of turnovers, although they were near the top of the leage in that stat last season.

Heat = worst record in the NBA

It's going to be interesting to see Mike Miller's effect on the Heat. The Heat only had Lebron and Jones that could do something other than dunk tonight. Once they get Miller perhaps things will get better for them offensively.

However, they still don't have a post presence, anyone that can consistently run their offense, or a bench.

It's amazing what Rondo does without having any range. Just imagine how sick he'd be if he could just have a Brewer like jumper.

A) It was the first time they had really played together (Wade out most of the preseason)
B) It was the first game of the season
C) That was probably their 2nd toughest if not most tough game on the road the WHOLE year. The Celts did win the East AND took the Lakers to the final seconds of the 7th game.

Heat will be good. VERY good.

This.

The C's played them perfectly, you really have to admire their D. Lebron and Wade were instantly collapsed on when driving, and Miami couldn't make them pay with the 3 ball. Miller will help them with that, but I think its clear they don't have the inside presence to come out of the East. KG didn't have a great offense night but shut the pansy *** Bosh down.

Did you watch the game by chance? I was actually surprised by how many calls they usually get didn't get called. Thank goodness!

....well, so much for going 82-0 and being the best team in the History of the NBA! They have no system....just one on one, slashing to the basket and launching up ill-advised jump shots.

That being said. Wade played horrible. This was their first game together ever really. Had a horrible 1st quarter. On the road at a top 3-4 team in the NBA who have played together for years AND despite all that they BARELY lost.
