Kick it off with Ian Hislop's review of the year, Ian is the editor of Private Eye a British political satire magazine, I've watched his reviews that last few years. I always find Ian both hilarious and erudite and has a knack for just making sense.

That Yanis guy did an amazing job of summing up the current state of world politics. He speaks like a well-written dissertation. I disagree with him though that Palestine is the most important "word" of 2024. I think history will show the reelection of Trump to be more important. United States citizens throwing in the towel and electing a fascist will be looked back upon as a tipping point for world democracy and therefore humanity.

He's an interesting dude used to teach economics at the University of Technology in Sydney. His wife is strongly rumored to be the inspiration behind the song common people by Pulp.
