The red flag warnings has already been issued before Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass got on a place to head to Ghana. Even after the Palisades fire had started, Karen Bass stayed at a cocktail party and there are photos now to prove it. She did not rush out upon being notified. She did not immediately jump on a military transport as she claimed.

The trip to Ghana while she knew Los Angeles was at risk is bad, but it makes it worse to know she vowed before taking office that she wouldn't do that even when her town wasn't at risk. She lied.
