Our guards except for Collier were so selfish: Brice, Svi, Juzang, Sexton. Just a hero one-on-one ball. They kept ignoring Flip (all the time) and Lauri (often). I really hope that over the summer the Jazz will get rid of some of these ballhogs and replace them with team players.

They arent selfish, they just arent that good. Brice had more turnovers than FGA's because he was trying to pass. Also doenst help when Collier is on the court no one guarded him when he didnt have the ball.

I don't think Juzang is selfish, quite the opposite. And that's Svi's one and only job: to shoot.

If you have an issue with pretty much everyone handling the ball apart from one player then... you have an issue with how the team is coached to play.

We've had three seasons of "play hard and pass the ball" mantra, but yet no-one passes the ball ... so whose fault is that?

Juzang often looks simply being overwhelmed and outgunned by playing against starters on a good team like the Wolves. I think he is OK against bench players.

But it is not simply about coaching. Keyonte and Flip involve other players, and Cody is trying too. And Hardy had several more passing players before Ainge shipped them away: Dunn, Olynyk, Fontecchio.

Nothing is simply 100 % about one thing.

Hardy is playing KO and Flip similarly. Their passing has rarely been a focal point, maybe apart from a 1-2 month spurt for KO when the Jazz were looking like a playoff team. Fontecchio and Juzang per36 assists are very similar (about 2). They're shooters.

And no, the Jazz don't have a lot of playmakers. Markkanen, Kessler, Collins are finishers. Keyonte, JC and Sexton are microwave scorers. And here and there are some passers and creators. But neither have we seen the "play hard and pass" in practice other than that stint mentioned.
