Martial Law declared in South Korea

Sounds like it's a pretty wishy-washy martial law.

Lame AF. Let’s get some decent exciting martial law with water cannon and rubber bullets and citizens abducted off the streets !!

Too ****ing right!! Wouldn't have any of this nonsense If I was sorting this martial law! Where are the "temporary detention centers" for subversives and enemies of the state? Who's in charge of firing squads and eventually the show trials? Armature ******** i say.

I've seen a bit of the footage, not one tank!!!! Nothing says we mean business like turning a bunch of students and other social parasites into pate with a ****ing main battle tank.

They even let the opposition politicians into the Parliament!!! It may have been a cunning plan to round them all up before eliminating them but it sort of didn't work out that way did it?

I'm not sure where your water cannon and rubber bullets comes into things tho, is this martial law or foreplay?

The Dutch used to call it merely gauging the temperature of the citizens. Then if they showed some fortitude out would come the mounted police to trample a few peasants to death. Man policing ain’t what it used to be

If you went to a protest in France you'd wear a stack hat and leave your watch at home. You'd also bring a wee potting spade so you could dig out the cobble stones and throw them at the pigs.

This has really changed my impression of South Korea, which I assumed was a very boring, stable, successful nation that has built a spot for itself in the high technology landscape.

Of the Asian tigers Korea is the least high tech, the Korean economy post war was designed around huge scale Fordist production with lower wages than the US or Europe. Massive drydocks for ship building, huge factories producing cars and white goods, where they had failed for 40 odd years was quality, however they've massively improved that in the last 20 years. The Korean have problems, I saw a doco recently on Korean delivery drivers literally working themselves to death to meet the demands of their employers. It would be an interesting country to visit. The real interesting part is that it has been a planned economy, planned an executed at a time when in the west we were all being told that planned economies don't work. Picking winners as they call it.

The siege begins. lmao
How long till Trump sets his sights on South Korea to help out his buddy in the North? He will brag how he united Korea under one dictator! And the people will literally be dieing in the streets in gratitude!
