What's new

Millsap's Hawks adventure.

I'm really happy for him. He is a true professional and smart player.. He is still adding up to his game he improved his passing, he started to hit from downtown. I also believe playing with Horford serving him well who is also a good passer big man and not a black hole like his former team mate back in Utah and he is getting more looks and more opportunity to operate at high post. They've been a great front court duo so far. His contract is looking really good right now. Good steal for the Hawks.

29 10 and 5 and his team still lost.

Sound familiar?

His team is 2-3 and they beat Toronto and Sacramento.

I also like him and hope he does well, but don't take that to mean I want him back.

Cause their bench sucks. I dont know why Elton Brand not getting any minutes and looks like till Lou Williams come back they will keep on sucking. Their 2nd unit dont have any scorers and Schroeder grabbing balls not helping it either. Maybe they should try to use Korver as 6th man till Lou Williams come back.

I honestly think that they are doing a semi tank effort. Think they are comfortable drafting around the 8-10th position. They'll find an injury once they fall out of the playoff race. This way they're not risking their revenue and fanbase who doesn't have sympathy for tanking. They simply have too inconsistent personnel - Some are good defender but a void offensively. Some the other way around. And Millsap's body down load is not exactly made to compensate for that. Horford to me is also more of a PF/C guy, not the other way around.

If we kept Millsap, we would have been just good enough to miss out on our 2014 franchise player. So, no thanks.

Exactly. Keeping Millsap would have meant trying to make the playoffs, probably re-signing Foye, Carroll and maybe Mo. Then what? The Jazz try to squeak in as the 7th/8th seed, or barely miss. Doesn't really matter. The draft pick is the 12-16 range: probably a decent player in 2014, but not one who drastically changes the franchise. And with all that money tied up in Millsap, Favors, Hayward and then Kanter, Jazz can't be players in free agency.
