Mitchell needs to start

He's the best player on our team. You'll see. Ride or die.

he might become the best player on the team, but so far he is not.

might be too ealry to start.

build his confidence against bench players. but give him starter minutes!

spo instead of starting against starters. bring him in against opposing "weaker" bench players. so he can easily start the game. then if he gets going against the bench he has confidence to go against anyone on the opposing team for the rest of the game, hence giving him starter minutes. if he cant get it going in a certain game, just "bench" him aka not give him starter minutes

Rudy is the best player on our team.

Not anymore. When was the last time Rudy stole a pass and took it in for points? Mitchell brings excellent defense along with the ability to score anytime or dish for a score. His shots are always open shots. He always gets into the paint and as he showed he can kick it to the open man. If his shots start falling he'll be one of the best players in the NBA.

Granted, Rudy stealing and going in for points is not a real comp, but my point is a four-point swing by one dude is gonna be fairly regular with Donovan.

I like him coming off the bench. Gives our bench a hell of a punch, and it builds his confidence since many teams' 2nd units won't be able to contain him.

Whether he's playing well or not, he needs to reign it in a bit. I've never been a fan of high-volume scorers, and the Jazz's identity over the different eras can be partially defined as being averse to that type of play.

I really like Mitchell, a lot, but his usage rate would make CJ Miles blush and it makes me uncomfortable. I don't think it's the right way to play, and I don't think allowing or encouraging that style of play is smart (unless he is a superstar talent).

Hey Douchejazzer, not clicking on your post. Beat it.
Say what you want about him in gd threads but his posts about the Jazz are usually positive and good the last couple years. No reason to bag on him for posting about the Jazz in a reasonable way.

I wouldn't know, can't see his stuff. But I agree with you.

There's no rush! Let the rook come off the bench and start when Quin think it fits the game plan

At this point I don't think it's a rush. He needs as much court time as possible. Regarding Numb's usage point, I agree. Let him know that he needs to focus on making the team better and I think he can. Drive and dish like he did to Favors on that sweet assist.

Hood/Ingles are also better floor spacers which is of absolute paramount importance when Rubio, Favors, and Gobert share the floor.

Unless you're talking about benching Rubio which I don't think is worth even considering (yet). But maybe putting him in the PG role with players he should be deferring to more (the starting lineup) could help him?

Yup, bench Rubio. I could see where Quin would be reluctant to though.

It's going to happen anyways.

Yeah, make him do it all.

But why does DM need to start? His trajectory looks fine so far. He seems to be a high character guy who won't self destruct if he's not given the keys to the Ferrari each night.

Even if someone makes a posts someone finds "negative" there's no need to insult someone over it. I feel that's the go to on here and people jump on the bandwagon.

I got an infraction today for responding to an insult which had nothing to do with the thread with a statistic.

Now, about Mitchell. I agree with Log's post 100%.
