Bill Simmons still seems butthurt about the whole thing with his snide comments about Exum throughout the draft. If the Cetlics would have won that coin toss and took Exum then Simmons would be praising the pick right now.

I wanted Aaron Gordon but Exum has a very real chance to be a much better player.

I'm pretty sure we were taking Gordon at 5, so not much of a reach. A mistake maybe. We'll find out in a couple of years.

This pick could bring us the superstar we desperately need when the alternative - i.e. losing that coin flip would bring us a good, but not great player. Agree it's hyperbole, but I'll bump this thread in 3 years when Exum is averaging 20 pts/per and we're contending for a top seed in the WC.
