Nate Robinson broke an all time NBA record Saturday!

Was watching that triple overtime Bulls/Nets game Saturday and witnessed a very seldom noticed stat that must have at least tied an NBA record! Right before Nate Robinson fouled out.....he took 3 shots in less than 5 seconds!!! Missed them all, of course.....but it was entertaining! He shot the ball, Bull's rebounded and threw it right back to him.....he shot it again without moving an inch, missed again. Bulls rebounded and threw it right back to him again! Never twitched a muscle and launched another shot! He missed all three shots, but had to have set or at least tied Allen Iverson's record for most shots in the least amount of time! After he fouled out, I called my buddy in Chicago and told him it was a "blessing in disguise" as now the Bull's would be able to slow it down a bit and set up a play or two in the next overtime and actually score! Sure enough, they executed beautifully on a couple of plays during that last overtime....and took out the Nets for a commanding 3 games to 1 lead!

Bigs do this all the time when they miss layups. Probably in less time

anything that makes Nate Robinson foolish though, I'm a fan of..

Here was another display of unwatchable playoff basket yesterday.....courtesy of the N.Y.Post and there beat writers! Funny stuff, don't ya think?!!!

"But here is what No. 7 did with the ball: He scored 36 points. On 35 shots. The other eight Knicks combined for 55 shots. By contrast, Paul Pierce scored 29 points. On 20 shots.

It was a display of one-on-five, let’s-stand-around-and-watch-Melo basketball that undoubtedly had Red Holzman rolling over in his grave, the antithesis of his hit-the-open-man mantra.

For a guy who tells us over and over how much he trusts his teammates, Anthony trusted no one but himself in crunch time, seemingly obsessed with trying to foul out Brandon Bass and Jeff Green and Pierce and maybe Tommy Heinsohn, too."

....I don't think any big I've ever seen pull the trigger faster in less time than Nate did Saturday! I could be wrong....but I think I'm right! Generally, bigs will pull the rebound down and dribble at least once, right? Nate never dribbled! 3 shots in 5 seconds.....a new worlds record!

...oh, Nate holds another record, too! The only knot head to miss 15 consecutive dunks in a dunk contest....and still win the thing!!!
