NBA LP survey - no Jazz Players

Out of the 84 optional "favorite players" in the NBA you can chose from only Al Jefferson was a Jazz-man this season (and it was probably his last).

Although it's obviously part of the regular "we don't believe that there is a NBA team in Utah" NBA approach, it made me think about it. Honestly, my favorite players in the NBA are not wearing a Jazz uni. Nash, Rondo, Rubio etc. - we don't have these type of players, or at least no core4 member had got to that point where I can appreciate/ be enthusiastic about as a BB player. It is sad but true. For me at least..

I think we all really need to appreciate what Gordon Hayward is about to become and he is definitely that player I think anyone can appreciate and get excited about watching. Gordon's athleticism and basketball IQ are top notch, if you don't believe me just wait and see, I promise and guarantee you Gordon Hayward will take that step next season. This will be his team and everyone is drooling over what Paul George does but Hayward will be there and beyond because his athleticism is just as good and his basketball iq is head and shoulders above George's. Don't get me wrong Paul George is a good player but he plays in the east and was handed the keys to his team a lot sooner because he has a real coach.

Having said that in the next couple season I guarantee and promise Derrick Favors will make plays both defensively and offensively that will continually make you say WOW more and more often. Also, one player Jazz nation is going to love because of his hustle and determination to be one of the best is Enes Kanter, he has the body and hustle to out work anyone on the court and will make plays not by his athleticism like Favors will but with his pure determination that will just be like holy ****!

Now having said all this I am giving Tyronne Corbin the benefit of the doubt by thinking this next season he will give these young studs their due minutes and play them all 30+ minutes. If he doesn't, I have all the faith in the world that management will find the right coach that will get the job done. And I am thinking of just the right fit if Ty doesn't, he is related to the godfather uncle Jerry Sloan (so its in his genes), comes from the same ilk of Eric Spoelstra and Frank Vogel as video and stats guys that worked their way up, but this coach has something they don't, head coaching experience...who?...Brad Jones!

Don't get me wrong - my heart is open and ready to fall in love..
I can't wait for this to happen.

Hence why jazz bball has been pretty darn painful to watch the past few years. Boring boring boring. No wonder why the starters look asleep whenever they were out there.

Yes, I agree. But to truly fall in love with someone, don't you have to actually see them, spend time getting to know them? This is what is missing. We catch brief glimpses of Favors, Kanter and Burks, before Ty locks them away in the tower again. It's almost like the old philosophy of requiring the eldest daughter to be married first. Unfortunately, in Utah's case she's the homeliest. But perhaps an ugly team like Charlotte, with little hope of ever attracting beautiful talent will take our eldest away, leaving us free to fall in love with our younger, lovely fair maidens.
