NBA to consider "new" rule for sake of viewing public!

It's been rumored that the NBA is going to crack down on any player who is seen visibly "chewing" on his mouth piece outside of his mouth while on the basketball court. Penalty will be a tech foul and a free throw! (Anyone else out there grossed out by the "mouth piece chewing" that goes on these days in the NBA?)

i dont understand why you use quotes and parenthesis the way you do. pls explain.

How about making games available for streaming regardless of blackout rules? Viewers would love it.

I remember trying to wean my son off his pacifier - we were watching a Jazz-Hornets game and Gerald Wallace would walk around with his damned mouthpiece hanging out his mouth all game. My son turns to me and asked for a pinky - laughed my *** off

Don't know if there is any validity to this but l know a lot of players have custom mouthpieces now. Wonder if it has to do more with the free advertising they get as opposed to the general aesthetics of the game.

I'm of 2 minds on this.

1-I can't believe sports fans are so prissy as to care about the germs coming through their television so I hope they don't ban it.

2-Mouthpieces are for prissy bitches so I hope they ban mouthpieces outright.

Whaaa I lost a tooth. Tear

Put on your man pants and get over it!

Great analogy! Can't believe I didn't come up with that one myself! It's now become apparent to me that the mouthpiece "chewers" of today's NBA were probably breast fed by there mother's till they were almost 3 years old.....and then it took them another 2 years to get off the pacifier! As far as the free "advertising" goes...I have yet to see a mouth piece with a Nike or Adidas marking on it....so I guess will have to deep 6 that notion!

....not the germs that bother me at all! Just the fact that I've got to see something coming out of someones mouth, being chewed on...close up and in living color! Kinda of like knowing a dog has been licking it's "privates" and then they televise the thing licking a human in the mouth and face! Only "white" people will let them do that to them, you know! Here's the funniest take I've ever seen on dogs in my life!

have you noticed a fluctuation in ur rep? how do u feel bout dis development?

...was trying to figure out what was going on! Now I know! It's a good conspiracy to correct a way over do injustice meted out to me in the past few years by posters on this board that take themselves way too serious!

This.
I don't care if they chew on thier mouth piece. I have never been watching a game and got upset about it

...is it possible that your sense of decency...leaves a lot to be desired?
Yes.
It's also possible that people who get upset by players chewing mouthpieces are too easily upset and too uptight.
