What's new

NFL 2017 Free Agency

If he can get his crap together, Kelly is the most talented QB on the roster. He's a gamer. He's got some issues though.

I would bet Siemien starts.

I think Siemian has the edge but much of this will depend on the new OC scheme. If they want a more mobile QB than Lynch has a legit chance to take the job.

Elway has really tried to upgrade the OLine last season and again this offseason. Then he has also signed J Charles and drafted a RB. There are now 4 RBs on the roster. Anderson, Charles, Henderson and Booker. it appears that a RB by committee is the approach here.

So if the OLine can become average and the run game gets going that will compensate greatly for Denver's lack of an elite QB. Denver still has the best secondary in the league and a great edge pass rush.

Now if they could only fix that run D...

Since it's only happened once in NFL history I think, no.

Agreed it's a long shot. But Patriots only lost two games last season and they are coming back with a dramatically better roster this season. On top of that, they have a cake schedule.

They need to watch out for:

v K.C. 09/07
v Atlanta 10/22
@ Denver 11/12
@ Oakland 11/19
@ Pittsburgh 12/17

All possible Ls. So yes, it is possible they go 16-0 but it is also as possible that they go 11-5

Top 4 toughest schedules are the 4 AFC west teams. That's good news for New England. Arguably 3 of their top 4 AFC threats are in the West (Pittsburgh is the other)

Yea undefeated is a long shot. But the Patriots are easily favored in all those games.

This is where your bias is showing (I'm biased for Denver which improved greatly this offseason IMO). Those are all legit teams and I wouldn't say it was "easily" a thing at all.

If I had to guess I say the Pats finish 13-3 and land the #1 seed

Pittsburgh, Denver, Oakland and K.C. all make it as well.

I get I am biased, but you think the odd makers won't have the Patriots as winners in all those games?

Who knows. Those teams went 11-5, 12-4, 12-4, 9-7, and 11-5 last year and from what I have read most of them improved. Pats were not the only team to arguable get better. But you said easily and I don't think that's the case. I think they go 3-2 in that stretch and drop a game they should have won.

Ive cant ever remember a team losing their entire starting defensive secondary to free agency like dallas did, save byron jones, the guy behind him they lost was starting a couple years ago tho. Dallas has lost a ton to free agency this season and just let em go
