It looks like we will now have 7 states where weed is fully legal. Too bad marijuana intensifies sorrow instead of drowning it.

I've seen several studies that have shown weed to be effective in treating depression.

The California bill is ****. I actually voted against it. This is another L as far as I'm concerned.

I haven't looked at it. What is wrong with it?

*it claims to not increase costs for those who use it medically, but when you look at the evidence, that looks wrong
*access will become harder on the retail side (dispensories)
*limits the number of plants one can grow
*there's a lot of fine print which gives a competitive edge to large industrial production of the plant, and disadvantages for small production. Get ready for the likes of Marlboro to become a big player in just a few years.
*increased penalties for small producers who don't thread the needle on the new laws (and there will continue to be a grey zone... but now the authorities can crack down even harder within that grey zone).
*increased penalties for illegal use by youth. Particularly difficult for the 18-21 (adult).

It looks like **** to me.

On a different bright side, we will possibly be able to join a "name the new country" contest after this one falls.

Why would anyone who smokes pot not want Phillip Morris to get in the game?

Sure buddy.

Why wouldnt people just grow it in there own house or yard and skip buying it from the store? Its not like cops are going to raid houses over someone growing their own stuff. I dont know whether or not it will be legal to grow your own stuff, but once its legal, who gives a rats ***? Again, I highly doubt cops would do anything about a homegrower, especially if its personal use.

Never mind, don't answer. I won't be replying anyway.
