devin harris was another bum like devin harris, theyre both wimps.

While I really like Carrolle as a player for the Jazz and I am very underwhelmed by Marvin's contributions this year. Utah is not the only team that would play Marvin over Carrolle. In fact I'd bet most coaches would play Marvin over Carrolle.

At least they cut Carroll's minutes and not Burks. Glad to see Alec has seemingly permanently gotten off the bench warmer role.
 
I guess Corbin sees himself at Marvin when he was a player. Cause i dont know how to explain this weird platonic relationship otherwise. It's platonic cause Corbin giving him the extended minutes everytime but he gives **** in return.
 
Can't win em all. At least burks was playing a lot tonight. Plus Marvin is done as a jazz man. Note it! He will be traded.

Yeah, until Mo Williams returns. I predict Mo Williams return will be similar to when Josh Howard returned last year - our dumbass coach will immediately abandon everything that was working.
 
Marvin is a fading Crown Jewel - but he's still a Crown Jewel. #2 overall pick coming off a National Championship, loads of talent and athletic ability. Guys like that always get the benefit of the doubt over guys like Carroll. Not saying it's right - it's just the way it is.

The "play him for his potential" argument makes no sense for a team that makes Favors Kanter and Burks ride the bench.
 
Carroll is complete effort player. Exactly what the starters need. Most often the starters come out lacking. Why does Marvin actually start? Foye is your stretch shooter. Thing is i'd actually say that Carroll may be a better shooter. Marvin is taller, and that's about all his advantages.
 
I like DM's hustle a lot better. He's very fast with the ball and on fastbreaks. He actually has a nice jumpshot as well.

Marvin has more post moves. Marvin is athletic but almost seems to walk like a man with bad joints. Anyone else notice this? He seems a little stiff out there. He can't seem to bend very well.

I will say that I think both players are intelligent and good teammates. Neither one makes many mistakes.
 
The simple fact is Carroll has more of an impact on the game than Marvin. Marvin could go away tomorrow, and we would barely notice.
