Orlando looking for third team in D12 to NJ

I posted this awhile back, but the Jazz should get involved.

If we could send off Jefferson and get Redick, Brooks, a pick...I dunno. It is too bad NJ and/or Orl have no big man depth at all. It would be perfect to get a bench big man and Redick.

Maybe the Jazz shouldn't get involved. Maybe this is just a bad thread. Maybe it is late....or maybe it is pure genius and I just have seen the angle that you guys can see.

Orlando will likely be in the lottery after they lose Dwight, so I'd want a 2013 1st rounder from them, if we get involved.

If Orlando and Brooklyn called the Jazz to ask if they want to get involved, and the Jazz said "If we get a first round pick from Orlando," they say, "Thank you. Bye," and hang up the phone.

What can we get from the Nets for our trouble???

I don't see Orlando giving up anything (except Howard). As it stands they're already getting F***ed in that trade with the Nets ...

These would be two primary requirements from the 3rd-team:
1. Able to take back one of Orlando's "bad contracts" - Turkoglu ($11.4 mil), Big Baby ($6.4 mil), or Jason Richardson ($5.8 mil)
-and/or-
2. Able to circumvent part of the Nets current out-going package (Brooks, Lopez, Humphries, 2013-2015-2017 first round picks) and substitute something in (players/draft picks) that would be equally/more attractive to Orlando.

I don't think Al Jefferson fits what Orlando is looking for...and I don't want to include a draft pick or any of the Core-4 in exchange for Redick or the other slop Orlando has. I do like Marshawn Brooks, but if we really wanted Brooks we could have drafted him last year instead of Burks. I like Burks in Utah better.

Why would Orlando give us that? Unless we give them Favors or Kanter - they're not giving up an unprotected lottery pick just so they can trade Dwight to Brooklyn.

ESPN reported that Brooklyn and Orlando are looking for a third team to take Jason Richardson or Hedo Turkoglu or Kris Humpries via. sign and trade. With that being said we could trade Big Al for Hedo and one of Brooklyn's first round picks or a extra pick from Orlando or Big Al for Hedo and Redick and/or Brooks.

That's not gonna be worth much now that they'll have the Big 3 there.

I'd rather sit on my hands, save the cap space and go after Harden next year instead of being stuck with Hedo or Rodick (who never won a Wimbledon title by the way, even with all that potential & promise).

Well, since we're bringing back former Jazz players, let's take Humphries.
Good luck Orlando in getting someone to take on the contract of Hedo or Richardson. You guys screwed yourselves when you hung up the phone on NJ several days ago. They probably would have taken on Hedo/Dwight and passed on Johnson. But you guys claimed collusion and ended the trade conversations.

KOC should just laugh. No way do we want to exclude ourselves from the FA market next season by taking on a huge contract. Got a top-5 pick? Maybe we talk. On second thought, nope. I want $20M to go fishing next summer. There are going to be several players offered MLE deals by teams with no other options. And if we want one of those players, we can offer $7M-$8M/per.

So basically, Orlando wants to trade Dwight to Brooklyn and take back Brook Lopez. Meanwhile they want to unload bad contracts that neither Brooklyn nor Orlando want onto some other poor sucker of a team. Got it.

Yes, for the most part they want to trade Dwight for Brooks, Humphries, Lopez, and three-first round picks while getting rid of Turkoglu and/or J-Rich or not take Humphries for no extra charge.

BTW, I've lost most of my respect for Dwight Howard through all of this. His "I'll only play for Brooklyn" trade demand is worse than free agents deciding to play together in Miami.

I really don't want Kris Humphries. I say we stay clear of this mess.
However, KOC drafted him.

yeah saw that this morning.. but hell no.. not with Favors & Kanter already struggling to get playing time.

It's not no but HELL NO time!!!
