What's new

Parsons, Carlisle and Dallas, my uninteresting thoughts about them.

I am a big fan of Parsons, his preseason thus far has been meh but he really looked great against LeBron. I watched the game (I rarely watch non Jazz games during the pre season). I know it's just preseason but he really looked like he played with something to prove, his 3 pt shooting has always been good but I was more impressed with what a good coach can do for a player. McHale has always been stupid and one of the worst coaches in the league and Parsons was looking really good next to Dirk. His contract is not looking bad now, he plays D, stretches the floor, can take on the playmaking duties and if he wants he can go and dunk it on you.

Dallas and Parsons seems like a great fit and you know Dirk is going to mentor the heck out him and you also have Monta on a great contract as long as his head is in the game. Tyson was also a great acquisition, because they need someone beside Dirk that can protect the paint.

I can see them giving SAS and OKC a scare this season for the honors of coming out of the West,

Do anyone agree with me? as for seeing them as a threat?

Ya i think they are a threat and i think they showed that last year tbh. Didn't they take a contender to the very limit in the playoffs last year?

Yes they did, taking spurs to 7 games was very impressing. When that happened I thought the Spurs had reached their peak to early in the season and would never get past OKC. But Dallas proved to be their toughest opponent in the whole playoffs.

Adding Parsons and a good defensive anchor is going to be major for them.

I am sorry to say this isn't true from what we saw last year and this years preseason. No one will be happier if I am wrong then me but Parsons is looking damn good.

Hayward has put up way way better numbers so far this preseason, it's not even close.

Parson shooting in the low 40% from the field so far, with 25% from deep.

Both are averaging around the same points, but Hayward is doing it on about half as many shots.

Hayward getting more assist, steals, rebounds, and blocks. And he is 1.5 years young.

Hayward > Parsons

Yesterday was Parsons first good game of the preseason because Dirk and Ellis played, so he could go back to his natural 3rd option on the team role.

Hayward putting up efficient stats and he is still, at worse, our 1B option so far in the preseason, I think Favors might be averaging more points.

Yeah, I really don't think his shot is as good as Hayward's. He shoots a pretty flat 2-motion jumper which is typically less effective than the more modern 1-motion shot.

I like Hayward more than Parsons, as far as players are concerned.

With that said, Dallas is gonna be unreal towards the end of the season. So many weapons on that team.

Their best weapon is Carlisle. Overall their roster is kinda weak, but Carlisle is the only coach I would consider taking over Pop.

Agreed. His shot is ugli

I think you'll be surprised by how this Bulls team plays on offense provided the team stays healthy. I saw the Bulls plays evolve and become more modern and efficient in the last years, their players just weren't the best shooters as a group and that limited their efficiency.

I agree. I think they are contenders. I like that they are putting the old championship pieces back together. It was dumb to not bring Chandler back before he went to the knicks. I also like bringing JJ Barea back too. That team fit very well together. They never should have blown it up. Who does that anyways? Try to repeat.

Well tbh had they matched the Knicks offer without a "championship discount" they would have been cap gutted as well which would mean no Parsons and no Ellis.
