Parsons sign offer sheet from the Mavs... 45/3

With a player option on his last year, similar offer as to what Gordon got except Gordon got an extra year. The reason he only signed three years is because that is when Dirks contract runs out.

Will Houston match? this means Houstons cap hold is 15 million now and is for the next three days until they make up their mind. If they can get Bosh I think they should let Parsons go.

Dirk/Monta/Parsons/Chandler is a nice core, I think they can challenge for home court advantage in the west and may have an outside chance for another WCF.

Any opinions on the contract? seeing as how Batum and Parson got paid paying Gordon 60/4 is not the end of the world.

Yeah it depends on whether or not they get a bigger fish in the meantime. And yes, a Parsons, Monta, Dirk combo would be fun to watch.

Sorry for posting wrong but it says This is general nba, or am I missing something.?
A+ posting. I was applauding your efforts, and felt bad that few would respond to your thread because it's in a relatively unpopular forum.

Rockets decline.

I don't understand that.

That's a bad no match. It's only 3 years and he's a really good player. It's a little bit of an over pay, but still not a terrible contract.

Kinda wish'n the Jazz made that offer.

Ya, seems weird not to match.

Didn't take long for Parsons to get his bitch on:

Parsons told Yahoo! Sports that it bothered him that Houston, which declined its right to match the Dallas Mavericks' offer and allowed Parsons to go to the Rockets' Interstate 45 rivals, made it clear the franchise didn't consider Parsons good enough to be the third-best player on a championship contender.

"Honestly, I was offended by the whole process," Parsons told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. "They publicly said that they were going out looking for a third star when I thought they had one right in front of them. I guess that's just how they viewed me as a player. I don't think I've scratched the surface of where I can be as a player and I think I'm ready for that role."

As much as people wanted him on the Jazz, he seems like a big attitude that doesn't quite match his abilities.

Geez, what is wrong with some Jazz fans. Just because a person has an opinion it doesn't mean they are a bad apple. There is nothing in his behavior to suggest what you are implying. I kinda of agree with him. Houston was stupid for letting him go and I would have rather had Parsons with his contract than Hayward with his. I would rather have a player like Parsons with something to prove and a little attitude instead of "I haven't said a word/I let a guy poke me in the ear" Hayward.

I agree with the Parsons point in that you have to have confidence and a bit of an ego to be good in this league.

I disagree on the Hayward comment. I don't like the huge contract, but the "haven't said a word/I let a guy poke me in the ear" comment is pretty weak and off base. I don't know how many people actually remember the game surrounding the ear poking incident, but Hayward was getting under the skin of West and there were other players in other games he would do the same. I'm fine if our players get under the skin of the other teams players and they are the ones to do something and get the fouls/fines/suspensions. If the other team is getting frustrated with you, you are most likely doing something right. I'd rather he ignored it like he did than throw a few air punches ala JLIII.
