Phantom Audio Ads

So several times recently I get a blast of audio and look up at my open tabs and the little speaker icon is on a Jazzfanz tab. I click it, look around for the ad and nothing is there. I check the other open tabs and nothing. Nothing that matches the audio at all. The audio ends, the speaker icon goes away fromt he Jazzfanz tab, I move on with life.

Freaky.

Am I alone (it's happening right now)

It's happened to me quite a bit lately when I'm on the full site - I ended up putting my laptop on MUTE so I don't have to hear it.

It seems to be an ad box at the very bottom of the screen, but it's not readily apparent. But if you watch for a while, you'll notice that the audio changes as the ad in the box changes.

There was a box at the bottom that was showing some people boxing, another time it was a truck commercial. I click pause and/or mute on that ad and the audio continues. But the audio is unrelated. The most recent one was for some motorola cell phone. I looked and looked for any ad that matched and didn't see anything.

I've never experienced this but I use a the super ad blocker on GC.

Ugh. Please keep checking for a matching ad. There could be up to 5 on a page. I just need the URL it's pointing to. Sorry.

I'll keep looking, but I'm telling you guys, there is audio and no related visual ad. It is def JF as I have closed the window a couple times and it has ended.

But I'm serious...no related ad on the page. I've been looking.

You guys don't think I'd start a thread like this all willy nilly do you?

OK, so my laptop was on mute...

as soon as I turned off the mute, the music started

nice stuff, Gloria Esteban "Do the Conga"

so I closed windows one by one and was left with only one app running....
iTunes...
