Plan B - Free Agent PG's

In the event the coin toss or the lottery balls go against us and we end up without a 1st round pick in the draft (or even if we get one but want to draft a wing instead of a PG) here are some Free Agent options at PG.

Goran Dragic (U)
Kirk Hinrich (U)
DJ Augustin (R)
George Hill (R)
Mo Williams (P)
Ramon Sessions (P)
Jeremy Lin (R)
Baron Davis (U)
Jameer Nelson (P)
Aaron Brooks (R)
Shannon Brown (U)
Steve Nash (U)
Jonny Flynn (U)

I'm not saying all of these guys could help us (I'm looking at you Baron Davis, Kirk Hinrich), and some are maybe too old to fit into our plans (Steve Nash). I'm also not saying all of these are better options than Harris (Shannon Brown could be pretty decent off the bench?). But its just a list of who's available.

I'd like to see someone like Dragic or even Flynn come in as I think they could help us and our young enough to fit into a long-term ish plan. What do you guys think? Who do you want and why?

if i could be assured that harris could carry his current form into next year, i'd be satisfied with keeping him. with that being said, i wouldn't mind picking up steve nash and jeremy lin for depth

I am happy with Harris now. The only guy on that list that is an upgrade is Nash. Lin maybe, but I think he might be a 1 year wonder who got pub because he was in NY. And the Knicks are not going to let him go.

I've watch Flynn for 4 years now, counting his year at Syracuse.

I'm pretty much convinced he has no clue how to by a point guard.

I was liking Hinrich earlier; but he had a bad season. I question if he is really 100% coming off his shoulder injury.

George Hill is a shooter and can play off the ball.
If that doesn't interest you, then where are your priorities?

Shooters! PG, SG, whatever, what the Jazz need are shooters.

We have a point guard who is a pretty good shooter. We have Burks and Hayward who will be shooters. I think we are doing pretty good. We just need to play Millsap at the 3, let him get comfortable shooting threes and we will be just fine.

Of all these guys Dragic is the only player I want as a start for several years. He is young, big and athletic. He is a gifted and natural scorer. He is only so so at defense.

Much rather draft someone then take any of those...Dragic is the only one I see not at his peak yet, and he will get overpaid this summer

Even if we don't luck up and grab the Warriors' lottery pick, I think we'll somehow acquire a lottery pick in the draft and draft a PG (Kendall Marshall).

Jazz don't have much room for moves next year and can have 3 PGs under contract, so I doubt they do anything there.

God willing if we cant trade Bell we will amnesty him opening up an extra 3 mill. I think that would give us about 7. A trade or two could open up some more room. Doubt we would pay to much for a PG if Harris is still with us next year though. I can see us more likely going after a wing player, but I do like some Dragic. Played very well as a starter.
