Let's not bicker about trading Trey in this thread. Instead, let's experiment.
What do you think Trey + #23 could get us?

At least some teams regard Trey Burke as a slightly better prospect than Tyler Ennis. So if Ennis is currently slated to go in the 10 - 15 range, Burke by himself would probably net a pick in the 9 - 12 range. If we throw in #23 and the team involved likes players available there, then maybe we get as high as 8 - 10.
If Sacramento liked Burke and #23, they might trade #8, but that would be best-case scenario. More likely, we would get #12 from Orlando if they take a big at #4.

Well, it depends on the teams that might want a PG. Right now I could think of Orlando and Sactown (if they don't bring back their PG - Thomas). Indy needs a PG but they don't have anything I would want that they would give us. Orlando might do this for the 12th pick or Sactown might do it for the 8th pick but the Jazz would probably have to add a player or another pick or take back a bad contract.
I would do it if the Jazz could snag either Smart or Exum with the fifth pick. Then go after Saric, Gordon, McDermott or BPA etc with the 12th or 8th pick. I would only do this is the Jazz feel that Trey isn't going to be the guy. I still hold out hope that Trey will be better in his second season. I would rather drop down and do the#5 and #23 for #6 and #17 for boston. We throw in a future second for boston to do the deal. Boston only does this deal if there in love with say Vonleh and they know we will take him.

Trey is a solid #10 in any draft. I'm not sure that means anything when it comes to draft madness, but in a normal year second year Trey should get you a top twelve minimum. Think of trading Trey for a Burks' potential -- it's no brained.
I'm really tired of all the people tossing Trey aside.
Are you ****ing kidding me? We moved up to get him, NCAA player of the year, ice in his veins end of game killa, fearless, top 3 in rookie of the year voting....
and some of you knuckleheads are ready to toss him aside? For who? Smart? Give me a ****ing break. Smart could bust. He's small as ****. Or he could turn into a decent Nate Robinson type.
Now there is nothing wrong with floating trade ideas about any of our players. I have nothing against this thread per say I've just been seeing a lot of people dissing Trey lately, and I came in here to vent. I think Trey Burke will have a better pro career than Smart. Let's see what happens though. Smart could explode. I guess I just don't see why people are trashing Trey, and wanting to replace him already. Seems nuts to me.
Ummm, did you mean to say Burke is small as ****? I think Marcus has him by 3+ inches.Smart could bust. He's small as ****. Or he could turn into a decent Nate Robinson type.
