She stated in her police report he swung his golf club at her. You be the judge. It made me think about the poor lad in Syracuse shot by the cops for "swinging the sword" at them. But of course it is the officer's word, and as officers of the peace we should give them the benefit of a doubt. If she is not a racist pig, I don't know who else is. At least she didn't shoot the old man.

Here is how the prosecusion and police work if you doubt why the Ferguson, the NYC, the Walmart shooting, etc cases were not indicted:

The city attorney’s office filed a charge of unlawful use of a weapon based on the police report, spokeswoman Kimberly Mills told the Stranger, and that if he signed an agreement, “the case would be dismissed after two years if he complied with all conditions ordered by the Seattle Municipal Court judge.”

So what would have happened had the dashboard cam has faced the other way? Or if a some congressman didn't inquire into this?

Wow. So what did the guy supposedly do? I read the article and watched the video and still don't understand what she was stopping him for. Ridiculous. I think it's time we start actually giving officers an IQ test or something. Raise the bar somehow.

Could he have initially swung it at her in a completely non-threatening but eff the cops type move while she was in her car driving by him? Just asking.

In some PDs they do give them IQ tests... and eliminate the smart ones as potential officers.

That's their rationale? They think cops would get bored and leave? How many even do that given the very good pay and benefits? I'd guess very, very few. Even playing along with this rationale though, I would wager the amount of money lost on the training of one officer who leaves is far less than the amount of money they'll lose in lawsuits because of department dimwits doing something dumb, paying cops OT for major cases that end up strung out too long because they can't be solved quickly enough because they have a bunch of dimwits in the department, and the need to hire additional personnel because crime is up because well, they have dimwits policing the streets without intelligent stratagems in place because they settled for mediocrity.

From what it sounds like this woman should be fired and then charged.

Is there a crime for abuse of power or something for police officers?

i thought u said in the past ur brother in law was a cop or somethin? DEA maybe

She probably just stopped him because she thought he was Tiger Woods and wanted his autograph.

Or a taste of his dark meat.

Either way, that cop is a cunning runt, and I'm glad this crap came out.

That being said, this comment from the article really rubs me wrong:
“At every step along the way, our justice system failed Mr. Wingate. That is what institutional racism looks like.”

Sorry, does not compute. This is what human beings look like; they are stupid animals who do stupid things. Does this mean that every time a teacher has sex with a student that it is "institutional pedophelia"? Stupid cops are a serious part of the problem, but let's not forget the uninvolved third and fourth parties that sensationalize and bloat the issue.
