If I’m a Utah Jazz fan I’m finding it highly concerning that the only thing my team did to beat the 9 seed is hit more FTs and 3’s. Couldn’t beat Memphis on the glass, couldn’t outblock them, had more turnovers, less steals. Utah played like Memphis if Memphis could hit 3’s.
Grizzlies are a poor man’s jazz
Jenkins is not the coach to get us to the next level. For the second straight game, we fall apart in the 4th. Utah goes on a run, game over.
Memphis 1 win Utah shot 25% from 3. 3 wins shot 44, 48 and 50%. Guard the 3 point line. Not rocket science
I said it.....give it time and they will break your heart. The Grizzly organization want to get you excited and go to these games so you won't be bored. It's like a tourist attraction. This team is not designed for a championship, it's designed to entertain you as a fan.
Dillon brooks always making late game bad decisions.
We are just overmatched, they are a better team than us. More mature, more experienced, smarter, deeper, better coached, more balanced. We're the 8th seed and we're playing the 1st seed, and they're the 1st seed for a reason. Still really happy to have made it to the playoffs, this experience will be invaluable.
We can talk all about the pnr issues with jv or ja defensive liabilities, and jaren playing so far away from the basket, or dillons brain cramps with stupid fouls, but we dont have a go to 3 point shooter and we can’t defend the 3...we ain’t going anywhere at anytime until we address and fix
Biggest difference in the series is when it came to winning time, they made the plays, we did not. That's called experience, something we do not have, and something they have plenty of. They clearly aren't supremely more talented than us, but they make the plays they need to make when the games is on the line.
We both shot 35 threes.Utah hit 17. We hit 10. Just hard to make up that 21 points.

Its actually better to be destroyed by Gobert than by their shooters. He is nothing but a finisher.
Nothing but a finisher who's also DPOY. Besides that's all he needs to be when they've got all those shooters.
Reality is that teams absolutely stacked and no matter who we throw out there we ain't good enough to beat them 4 times. No excuse for Utah not to make the finals this year.
JV is just killing us defensively on the PnR. watching highlights and our guards are getting obliterated on screens, fighting hard to get over and contest w/o fouling, but JV has 2 feet almost in the paint and leaving our guards hanging out to dry. they are walking into basically uncontested threes. With the way they shoot, we have to have our big hedge on the PnR and stop this drop coverage BS. i'd rather give up gobert shots at the rim then giving their guards all these in rhythm threes.
I hear you, but that's pretty much impossible. They averaged 17 made threes per game this season, made 17 tonight. Their whole philosophy is to surround Rudy with shooters. They drive to draw in defenders and kick back out. They whip the ball around. We are doing pretty well on defense, despite what some on this board say. Utah is just very good.

Hard to win scoring 2s when the opponent bombs 3s. I would’ve loved to see this series if you aged our roster by a couple years, seeing as we **** the bed in crunch time yet again. Oh well, still super proud of this team. Jaren looked a lot better, and Melt showed the **** up.
In other news, I may dig my eyes out if I see another foul called solely because a Utah player slipped. I’m so sick of that ********.

This team has no hope of competing for a title unless someone becomes a big enough star to get the calls that Mitchell got tonight.
Ja has a chance to become that guy, but at a certain point it's out of his hands.
I swear utah better keep shooting good like this in their next series, if they start shooting like *** against the clippers or mavs but where hitting every ******** 3 against us i'm going to be pissed

Don’t foul on threes
Keep the 3 pt make discrepancy to under 5
Limit offensive rebounds
Limit to under 12 turnovers

Watching this Utah offense is day and night vs. Dallas O
Utah is pick n roll, move without the ball, pass pass pass, boom boom. The ball is ALWAYS moving, I mean it whips around the key at break neck speed. Its a treat to watch.
Meanwhile Dallas offense is "guy has the ball and everyone else stands around the 3 pt line dazed and slack jawed, waiting for guy with ball to do something." How is that an offense? this is why they need Luka to have a monster game or they just plain suck.
I know Rick has had a lot of success in this league, but right now, today Quinn is 10X the coach Rick is.
Forgot Conley was in the game in the 2nd and 3rd. Then when things got close in the 4th he was just like "surprise motha****as!"
Utah never seems to miss 3s, ever.
Idk, shooting 46/43/90 as a team with 11 turnovers while holding us to 28% from 3, I would consider that a pretty good game from the Jazz.
This is just a highly competitive series and the Grizzlies are playing very good basketball while minimizing mistakes so far. However, the Jazz are just playing that tiny bit better, and are quite simply the better team overall.
These games all feel the same. Jazz lead, grizzlies come back, jazz pull through at the end
every run we do, we just get ****ed with a dagger three off the timeout.
