Resigning Boozer Jazz's top priority

O’Connor said talking with Boozer would be “absolutely” the top priority when free agency opens. Although the Jazz matched a four-year, $32 million offer sheet to keep Paul Millsap last summer, O’Connor said the team remains interested in re-signing Boozer.

“They’ve played awful well together,” O’Connor said, adding that he appreciates all the matchup problems created by the Lakers’ towering frontcourt of Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.

So they want to keep him huh? Well with the horrible draft they had, they are kinda of stuck resigning him if they want to make the playoffs next year. The fact though O'Connor realizes that the Lakers's players causes the Jazz length and size problems, makes it even more mindbogglingly that the Jazz did nothing in the draft to fix that, and now we are going to keep one of those players that gives us that disadvantage against them. Does the front office even care about winning a championship?

What guy in the draft that was available could REALLY help against the Lakers, seriously? Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Aldrich. Other than that, no one. IMO

KOC has to keep the PR spin positive with Boozer no matter how they feel about him. Even if they don't want him Jazz have to get his approval for any S&T that might come along. Also if Boozer doesn't get an offer he likes, Jazz need to keep the door open to resigning him. Many reasons to publicly say Jazz really want Boozer back.

I like the Paperboy more better, either way. Boozer would be an OK backup, but....

Sure, Boozer can go strong to the hoop on a pick an roll play, he can usually hit a turn-around jump shot, and he can push guys outta the way for rebounds, and stuff. But he aint no Paperboy!

Paperboy has a good mid-range jumper, too, don't git intimidated when he's playin against giants, and can make a lay-up on the way up, the way down, goin sideways, whatever. He blocks shots, steals the ball, and messes with guys on defense, too.

So, then, to kinda sum it all up, and all...

Da Paypaboy, he ROCKS, eh!?

I'm surprised more people don't realize this. Oh course he's going to say this.

Ya Aldrich... you may not remember but we had a tremendous length problem... hell Whiteside wouldn't have sucked... he doesn't need to play much just guard Gasol.

Yeah, he rocks. I agree. But when he goes up against bigs, he falls woefully short. Pun intended. Again, if you haven't noticed, the championship goes through the lakers. How does our boy Millsap do against them?

Like Boozer don't, that the idea here?

Boozer wholeheartedly does. But your argument is that since we don't have Boozer, Millsap is going to fill in. I'm saying it's more of the same. You're definitely not one of the smart ones, eh.

Heh, Vinny, the irony of it all, eh? I done said I likes da Paypaboy more better than Boozer, and you think that's an assessement of all it takes to beat the Lakers? Purty damn smart, sho nuff.

Hoppy, I like Millsap more than Boozer as well. But I know he's definitely not a starter. Do you?

KOC left out the part of trading him as to his priority. Of course, we sign and trade him for a defensive big like Gortat and another player ... like some have mentioned Bass, or Pietrus or Redick. But can we do better, maybe?

I'd love to be a fly-on-the-wall in KoC's office during his talks with Boozer & his agent. Do NOT want him back; obviously a S & T would be great... I follow the Magic too. Definitely like Courtney Lee; he was a teammate of our 2nd rounder, Jeremy Evans. Solid all-round BB player, in the mold of Wes Matthews.

Well, Vinny, just hide and watch his *** start next year, eh?

You just don't get it do you? And you probably never will.
