Rudy Gobert on Twitter: People care more about attention than about winning nowadays...

Not sure but as long as he is busting his butt and continues to improve I don't really care.
 
If whoever he's talking about cares more about attention then winning maybe he should consider what Rudy is saying very carefully...

I have no frame of reference of this tweet however just taking it face value, all this does is make me like Rudy even more.

So again with no frame of reference I will say that if anybody took offense to this tweet than that said individual(s) have the problem and may need to do some self evaluation or own who they are and that they care more about attention than winning.

lot of players want attention rather than winning. very true.

Kyrie irving for one. I think this is a shot at irving tbh. irving would rather be a center piece onf a losing team rather than on a winning team.

Never been better, my Don Quixote T-Shirt came in the mail today.

I've accomplished the final stage of my work related plans on time, so now I'm preparing to set out on a journey to help those in need. Trying to pinpoint a noble cause to champion first, there's quite a bit of work to be done. The Pencils for Promise dude Adam Braun and his TEDtalks really got me inspired.

I tried posting on a new team forum, that was kinda dead anyways, but have already called it quits. Believe it or not they had more rules than this one, and I'd say the mods are even snarkier and holier than thou! There's 2 boards for that team though so I'm gonna try the other one before I'll head off to reddit.

Glad to see DX got acquired by ESPN, that was long overdue. That should reduce the echo chamber effect seen in the potential draftee's thread, unless members pony up $$$ for insider.

In a way, it is a weird statement by Gobert, because he is being dismissive of people that like attention while drawing attention to himself by tweeting. On the other hand, it is a completely innocuous statement from his part; one that was not worth of a thread or a discussion, IMHO.

Uhmm it's the off season and have you seen some of the threads that's been thrown around here, this is at least (or was at one point) Jazz player related. Oh yeah, it's also Rudy MF'n Gobert he could wax poetic about the deuce he just dropped and it would be thread worthy.
 
This is demonstrably false really. Look at the rise of the super-team. Players care about winning at all costs so they cluster together to get the ring, even at the expense of salary or anything else really. I would say right now players care a lot about winning, and doing anything to get the ring on their resume.
