Rush is Worthless

I was one who bought into the hype that Rush would be the best of the three players from Golden State blah blah blah. I don't think he is ever going to get back to NBA form. I suspect there are dozens of guards in the DLeague that would torch him right now. Perhaps Ty needs to play him 48 minutes to help the Tank.

His mom may love love him. The dude has a funky shot and he can't guard my grandmother with a walker.

I really hate how Corbin gives him 5 mpg. You either play him around 16 mpg, or you don't play him at all. There is no way a player can get a rhythm back with five minutes per game. Can we send Rush to the D-League? Rush really needs game minutes to get back into shape.

the second part is true, but the dude has a smooth shot.

Rush can't be sent to the DLeague because he's a vet. The Jazz would have to waive him and then he could sign as a free agent with a DLeague team. The CBA ought to be structured more like baseball so they can send a vet down to AAA or in the case the DLeague.

didnt rondo play in the d-league a couple weeks ago?

Sad what the injury did. Rush has a career avg of 41% from 3-PT range. He's worth considering for a roster spot at the vet minimum for another year. If he gets back to what he was, it would be a bargain. If not, then no big deal. Jazz will likely carry 14 players; they'd have a spot.

Then I would say don't play him at all - Rush is just using this season to get back into playing shape. He has no interest in really competing. He's been dogging it on defense all year. And Saturday night against Minnesota he just gave up on a loose ball. These things fly under the radar because hardly anyone is watching the games and The Jazz aren't playing for anything; but it's clear he's either not healthy or doesn't care - either way he shouldn't be playing

That would mean his cash cow career is over. I don't buy any of your assumptions.

Worthless? How dare you?!

Which of these answers seem more plausible:

1. We traded for Rush as we saw him to be an integral part of the team not only this year but in future years as well.

2. We traded for Rush to help clear GS salary on our books and help net high draft picks in a year that we're experimenting and building a foundation.

I could give two dumps and a Twizzler that Rush is worthless. He's only here to collect a paycheck and was the means to getting potentially better players in the future.

Agreed. And Ian Clark should get those minutes unless the Jazz have totally given up on him.
