Russia and Ukraine

The Thriller

Even more disturbing news from an area that’s seen it’s share of conflict in the last few years. It appears that Russia is stepping up its attack on the West (our allies). I’m unsure why, whether sole control of the strait is Putin’s objective here or whether it’s intimidating Ukraine/pumping up nationalism in Russia. To those on twitter who have left Russia and are putin’s most vocal critics, they report that Putin’s been attacking Ukraine, the US, and the UN for years. So he’s using incidents like these as a way to cover up domestic issues and turn the focus to international ones.

I know that trump isn’t in an easy position here. But it sure would be nice to finally see an American President push back against the world’s biggest bully. So tired of Putin running circles around us.

If Trump wants to build a narrative that he is not beholden to Putin in some way he absolutely needs to take a tougher stance on this. Otherwise it feeds the belief that he is bending over for his pal at the expense of a key ally.
