Short circuiting the Judiciary

The Thriller

Thought this was worth a new thread. As Trump always does, he tries to break the system to his advantage. Those concerned with perceived biases and injustices in the case he was just convicted in will most certainly be outraged at this /s.

Why is the Speaker of the House insinuating that the Supreme Court will overturn Donald’s conviction?

Especially given Alito’s and Thomas’s compromised positions?

Why is Trump paying off witnesses in other cases? Is he bribing people like he did with Flynn and Manafort (they got pardons)? This should be concerning to those who want a judicial system that’s fair and just. Right? This actual corruption is more concerning to me than the alleged bias right wing trolls claim to see.

Not only is the speaker or the house a lawyer but...........

"I think that the justices on the court – I know many of them personally– I think they’re deeply concerned about that, as we are."
In theory, the case eventually could be taken up by the Supreme Court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, due to three justices which were nominated to the bench by the former president.

So nothing wrong with maga Mike trying to get the supreme Court, whom he has personal relationships with and whom the convicted felon appointed 3 of them to, to go ahead and overturn this conviction for their friend who is house speaker and for their other friend who gave them their jobs and happens to be the defendant.

Yep, totally on the up and up. No conflict of interest there.

Yeah what really sucks is we have no recourse really. No effective way to sanction or censure, or even really thoroughly investigate the SC. And they police themselves, which is meaningless as we saw in Alito's response. This is the kind of **** Rome was dealing with as it was collapsing. We are the modern Roman empire. And we are seeing the foundations beginning to crumble. The "me" generation is finally gaining in power and we are seeing exactly what that gets us.

Travesty of Justice? I think not….

There is a 2 word answer to all of this that can't be refuted...fake news. It's all fake news and everyone knows it. To paraphrase Homer Simpson, you can't prove anything even remotely true with facts.
